Wow! Add a coat of dramatic mascara, classic red lips and a bit of the Brow Highlighting Powder to the cheekbones and you’re ready for a night on the town!! 😀

      Hi Tiffany,

I agree. Have you seen the packaging for their new Crescent Row perfumes? So cute!

Super cute – but I find mini tweezers hard to use.

      Hi Cloudburst,

Yeah, I need some with heft. You know which ones I’ve been really loving lately? Tweezerman tweezers. They’re pricey but they work really well.

    Ooh, thats super-cute!

I’ve got the little brow-zings kit, not that I’ve ever really used it. I don’t do much with my brows because when I fill them in they always seem to look too harsh. The only product I really liked was one Estee Lauder did called Artist’s Brow Stylist.

It was the same size as a mascara but with clear setting get, a double ended pencil, an angled brush and tweezers. I don’t think you can get it anymore sadly, but it was awesome.

I must say, I do like the look of this kit. Almost a shame there isn’t a teeny mascara in it – if there was it’d be a whole eye dealy in a box!

      Hi Beth,

Hmm, are you combing them through afterwards with a lash comb? That seems to soften the look of the brow.

I haven’t tried EL’s Brow Stylist. Is it a powder, pencil or wax?

Yeah, the perfume packaging is really cute! And the Gina one sounds up my alley, but I can just imagine someone asking what perfume I’m wearing and me having to say ‘my place or yours Gina’! I would DIE.

      Hi Tiffany,

LOL… I just say I’m wearing Benefit Gina. The name is way too long (and kinda cheesy!).

Totally cheesy! So you have it? How is it? I’m an oriental perfume kind of gal, and I love the price point…

    Hi Tiffany,

I like it a lot (will be reviewing it soon!). The first burst is very strong (lots of alcohol), but immediately after it settles down. It kinda reminds me of a lighter version of Coco Mademoiselle. 🙂

      Hi Tiffany,

Sure thing! 🙂 I’ll try to do it soon… maybe tomorrow or Thursday. 🙂

BTW, what scents are your faves? It sounds like we might like the same things.

I really like Aquolina Pink Sugar, Lavanila vanilla grapefruit, and Lavanila vanilla coconut. Some other faves are L de Lolita Lempicka, L’Aromarine Vanille, Jessica Simpson Fancy, EL Bronze Goddess, Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille, and Creed Virgin Island Water (I only have samples and a dupe – I wish I could afford the real thing!). Also Sephora has a line of body products in a coconut almond scent that is fab!

      Hi Tiffany,

I’m right there with you with the EL Bronze Goddess! It’s one of my favorites for summer.

Oh, sometimes when I wear Lavanila scents I want to gnaw my arm off. They smell so good!

I know it! I have had people at work double-take and come back by my office door to tell me I smell good when I wear the Lavanila! Have you tried their shower gel? I wanna try it but it’s pricey…

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
