Flower Beauty’s Double Take Eye Marker and Creme Eyeshadows in Poolside Kiss and Lovely Lilac

Is it makeup or a marker?

Or a little bit of both?

[INSERT CARTOONY DOUBLE TAKE HERE]

These Double Take Eye Marker and Creme Eyeshadows ($9.98 each) by cruelty-free drugstore brand Flower Beauty are dual-ended eyeshadow/liner pens, and since I have a thing for makeup that looks like something you’d find in a steno store, I wanted to give ’em a try.

They’re $9.99 each and have a cream shadow with a doe-foot applicator on one side and a liquid liner with a chunky-monkey felt tip on the other.

I’ve started using these for hurry-up-and-go eye makeup. I swipe a small amount of the cream shadow on bare lids with the doe foot, and mellow out the edges with a finger. Then I line my upper lash lines with the marker.

Since the shadows are super sheer, they don’t require much blending.

Oh, and FYI — the shadows seem to dry out quickly, so don’t forget to close them good and tight (might also want to keep your receipt, just in case).

Poolside Kiss has a sheer mossy green eyeshadow on one end and a jet black liner on the other. Lovely Lilac has the same black liner, but pairs it with a purply taupe shadow on the other end.

There’s also an additional shade not shown here called Steel a Kiss (love that name), a dark purple, which you can check out at Walmart stores and online.

Hmmm…. an interesting concept, but I dunno if it’s worth it if it’s already soo sheer. Thanks for the review!

Cool concept. But I don’t think it’s for me.

I love everything by Flower. I have yet to be disappointed by any product I have purchased by this company!

I have a couple Flower products (powder foundation, lip gloss, lipsticks, the lip butters) and would like to explore the brand more- I wish they would come out with more colors and collections! This eye product does not catch my eye so much, but I hope Drew comes out with more stuff soon.

The eyeshadows look like they could be a little better but the liner part looks pretty decent. I love the concept but I wish they would have made the shadows more pigmented. That would have been great!

I really like the concept of this product. I’d probably prefer a stick shadow on one end instead of the cream shadow with the wand applicator.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
