Quick Look at the New Clinique Cheek Pop Blushes

March 26th, 2014 by Karen 17 Comments

How cute are these pans?! I sense that if I show them to my Gerbera daisies, the flowers will feel a twinge of jealousy. 🙂

These are three of the four new Clinique Cheek Pop blushes ($21 each), which are new for spring. They’re supposed to leave skin with natural-looking color but without the powdery texture that some blushes leave behind.

Can’t wait to get ’em on my cheeks.

They’re available now at Clinique counters and online at clinique.com.

I have the plum pop blush (I restrained myself to just the one – a major feat because I am a fully certified blush junkie) and I really like it. I haven’t tested for wear time, but I have trouble getting most things to last on my skin. I do think the finish on this blush is nice. It’s not powdery looking, but it isn’t too shiny/glowy so it doesn’t say, ” Hey look at this lady’s giant pores!” A happy medium. Good job Clinique I say 🙂

I tried these in store and they seemed to be really sheer. It was a really popular Sephora though so I think the testers may have been duds. I guess I’ll have to check out a Clinique counter to be sure. I really wanted Ginger Pop!

I’ve been dying to try one of these! I usually stick with NARS and Tarte blushes, but these are so cute! I look forward to your review. 🙂

I have this in ginger pop and like it okay. I am not thrilled with the shade. I really wanted peach pop, but sephora was out when I went. May have to to back and exchange!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
