Brush Crush

November 9th, 2012 by Karen 12 Comments

Current brush crush: the MAC 163 Flat Contour Brush ($35). I use it to apply cream bronzer and liquid foundation. 🙂

It’s no longer on the MAC website, but you can still find it at counters and online at nordstrom.com.

I love the shape of that brush. I have several Mac brushes and they are all wonderful.

This is a MAC brush that I don’t own and never tried, either.

what i love about this brush is, that its so thick and stiff… so i have the feeling to have much more control in applying my foundation or cream products; e.g. the contour and shape creams from MAC or my chanel bronzer …

at first i was like seriously is this a makeup brush? ’cause it looks more of a paint brush. but what the heck i will try it hehe, especially now that i’m getting hooked on contouring. heard there’s a Sonia Kashuk dupe, i might get that first — if only i can ask anyone from US to get for me hehe.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
