Just a few pics of the ELF Flawless Eyeshadows in Golden Goddess and Party Purple, $2 each (!).
LOVE the color combinations in the quads — so bangin’!

A note for the interminably time crunched (among whom I count myself a lifelong member): these require some effort to use. I built up these swatches in layers to convey the colors because each layer applies quite sheer.
I had to do a lot of layering to be able to see the colors clearly on my skin and plenty of patting and buffing to smooth out the visibly large, fluffy grains of powder; otherwise, they appeared to be sunning themselves on on top of my skin. After that, I also had to clean up a hefty amount of fallout around my eyes.
I really like how the look turned out, but it sure took a lot of elbow grease.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
For 2 I guess it’s not so bad, but I can probably pass because I already own many similar colors that perform well!

Not bad at all, I say! Looks great on you as well. The gold palette – want!
Ooooh, sounds like a bit too much effort for me (I hate fallout) but that purple does look awesome on you. And what are you wearing on your lips? It’s gorgeous….
Dang. I was looking forward to the purple quad. 2 dollars is cheap but it’s still better spent on something else. Thanks for the review!

With all that effort, the results do not look bad at all! I really can’t complain about the amount of effort that these quads require because $2 is a steal!! =)

I like these colors. Do not like work in the AM to get the color I want. Boo. the Copper collection really looks great in the pans. Do you think it has to do with skin tone? I am a NW 25. And I realize this post is all over the map. Love the purple accent on ya,
The colors are really pretty but if they take so much effort to use, I’m gonna pass!

Mmmm that purple needs to be a smidge more smokey and it’d be perfect. I love it when eyeshadow combos make it easy for me. I’ve been using a similar set but it’s a trio of smokey purples from Sephora and it’s almost dead.
I love your lip color here Karen, which one is it?

ooh pretty! I wish I had seen these when I was at Target the other day. I did get my first elf product though–that blush/bronzer duo that everyone calls a dupe for the Nars one. We’ll see…

I love the colors in these palettes, especially Golden Goddess. It stinks that you had to put so much work in! I do love some elf products like the All Over Color Sticks, I use those every day for blush and highlighter. I think their products make fantastic gifts for tweens and teens looking to experiment. Even great for more mature ladies like myself for inexpensive practicing!
