Olá, Brilhante! The Estée Lauder Brasil Dream Collection, a Macy’s Exclusive

June 15th, 2012 by Karen 23 Comments

Do you ever dream in black and white? Apparently, some of us do. My dreams are always in color, usually vivid color, but I think a black-and-white dream in a film noir style would be hella cool.

Methinks someone over at Estée Lauder was definitely dreaming in color when they brought the Brasil Dream collection to life (available now exclusively at Macy’s). My Brazil dreams usually involve beans and rice (Mmm…), but hey, I’m down with the bright blushes, glosses, lipsticks and nail polishes in this collection, too.

How about fragrances in your dreams? Do you ever wake up breathing in the scent of fresh baked bread, your partner’s perfume/cologne or the salty sea? The collection also features a fragrance called Brasil Dream, which I haven’t seen or sniffed since Milan in 2010.

If you haven’t tried the Pure Color Blushes yet, give ’em a swipe when you can. I think they’re great! Super pigmented, and the pans are HUGE.

1) Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Pure Red ($19); Pure Color Crystal Lipsticks in 2) Red Tango, 3) Barcelona Rose and 4) Berry Fizz ($25 each); Pure Color Gloss in 5) Star Ruby, 6) Racy Raspberry and 7) Irresistible Pink ($22.50 each); Pure Color Blushes in 8 ) Naughty, 9) The Siren and 10) Fearless ($28 each)

I would love love to visit Brazil one of these days, but for now, Macy’s will have to do. The Brasil Dream collection is available now exclusively at Macy’s stores and macys.com.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

That is some serious pigment going on with those blushes! Us pale girls would have to use a very light touch…. but I love ’em!

      Hi Heidi!

You could rock that bright pink with a good fan brush. I’m sure Missy would approve because if it’s high fabulousness factor.

      Hi Nina,

True that. I could easily spend a good chunk of my time at the makeup counter playing with all the new fun colors at EL. Have you tried any of their polishes yet? Some of them are really beautiful.

Lawd have mercy, those blushes are killing me! Too bad this item only ships to U.S. addresses… Though, perhaps that is actually a good thing. My wallet is rejoicing! :p

I have seen that collection online. The blushes look too pigmented for me I am afraid but I love the lip glosses.

And speaking of EL, have you seen the pictures for their fall collection? The eyeshadow palette is absolutely stunning, cannot wait to get it!

Wow. Those blushes are PIGMENTED! They look lovely but I bet I would have problems with it. I tend to use a heavy-hand when applying my blushes, so I find that a sheerer formula is perfect for me. Still, they’re so beautiful, it’s worth checking out at the counters. If I like one, I can always figure out how I’m going to apply it later…:D

Love EL blushes-i have one of the recent ones-the wild sunset. So pigmented and yet so versatile. Apply sheer and it gives such a natural glow. A bit heavy hand and it’s a nice night look!

Tabs is so cute! Yes, i can never tire of repeating myself on that one :).

The blushes look really cute, but I have to finish working through the blushes I already have before I buy more. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your swatches with us.

I bought all three of the blushes — they are really pretty, super pigmented and just glide on my cheeks! I use a fan brush to apply these babies – theyre so deep and rich that it can be easy to overdo it!

Those colors look so pretty, but their intensity scares me a little. I am an NW 15/20 and hope I wouldn’t look like a clown!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
