The Classic, Now in a Value Size: Limited Edition Value-Sized NARS Orgasm Blush

June 3rd, 2016 by Anna Oh 10 Comments

So…#whatmakesyoublush?

For me? Spicy food, walking around on a cold day, and a little swirl of this Limited Edition Value-Sized NARS Orgasm Blush ($39, 0.28-oz).

I can’t open a magazine without seeing pictures of this iconic pinky peach blush in a shoot or reading an inspiring woman casually mention that it’s one of her go-to’s. I think it has to be one of the most famous blushes in the world.

And now it’s SUPERSIZED. This limited edition $39 value size has the same amount of product as a full-sized 0.28-oz. NARS Bronzer (compared to a regular 0.16-oz. $30 NARS Blush, which is about 40% smaller).

Why Orgasm? Because it’s a chameleon…

NARS Orgasm is sort of like a chameleon, and if you don’t already have one (or more) pans in your collection, it’s a classic. It can be subtle or dramatic; warm or cool. I’ve tried Orgasm dupes in the past, but most of them run peachier/pinker/darker/more metallic, and none of them hit the mark like NARS Orgasm does (hmm…).

Sometimes I feel like a product can become so popular that it doesn’t feel special anymore, but this XL size feels fresh again. I think it’ll serve me well for, I dunno…the rest of my life.

Someone please remind me of this when I have another blush in my cart! 🙂

Do you already have NARS Orgasm Blush? (Or if you have more than one pan, how many do you have?)

See you in the next!

Such a pretty color! It looks so good on you by the way! Also, what foundation are you wearing? Your skin looks flawless!

I love this blush! It really is quite the chameleon. I have super light skin (porcelain) and Orgasm looks great on it. My best friend, who has much darker African-American skin, borrowed it in a pinch one day and it looked great on her, too.

This sounds crazy, but I’ve never actually tried Orgasm blush! I just got a little sample in my last Nordstrom order to try though.

It’s one of my favorite blushes. I swear by this one and Rimmel in Autumn Catwalk. I have worn Orgasm for many years, I think 10 years now. I read about it in Allure magazine because it had won the Beauty Award for 5 years in a row and was a cult favorite. It was one of my first designer makeup buys at Sephora. Near and dear to my heart! I always have it in my makeup drawer in one form or another – either the powder blush or the Multiple. The Multiple is great because you can use it for eyes, lips and cheeks.

I love Nars multiples as well! They give an intensity that the powders don’t. Also so glad you have been loving Orgasm for all these years! I’m a new fan but can see why ^_~

I only have a pan of Orgasm blush and it’s a mini I got as a GWP. Not sure I need another one, as I have never finished a blush in my entire life. My favorite NARS blush is Douceur which has sadly been discontinued.

Oh no! Have you tried Nars Madly? It’s a soft type of subtle pink as well.

I have one pan, but I might consider getting another, because I feel like the payoff isn’t as good as it used to be. It is more than six years old, so it could have gone off.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
