NARS Albatross Lipgloss Comes in for a Landing Soon

June 12th, 2010 by Karen 30 Comments

nars albatross lipgloss

NARS Albatross Lipgloss ($24), one of five new limited edition shades inspired by a different iconic NARS blush of the same name, comes in for a landing at Sephora stores and Sephora.com on July 29. The color’s designed to enhance the natural beauty of lips with a hint of soft, sheer golden shine.

Pair it with a little light summer makeup for a natural look, or shoot for something more dramatic like a simple smokey eye. Layered atop lipsticks, it imparts a subtle but unmistakable golden glow.

Do you remember Albatross blush? What do you think of the lipgloss version?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

That looks like a very pretty layering shade, it reminds me of the sides of of clam shells or even oyster shells. There is a creamy milky sheerness to it with just a touch of iridescence.

      Hi Amy,

Yeah, that’s true! It has that luminescent/glowy quality to it.

Looks pretty! But I probably have too many other similar shades to consider getting it. I LOVE the albatross highlighter though!

Wow I am really excited about this one. I could see it being similar to others I own like MAC’s lustreglass in Luminary, but I think it’s still a must! Just love the idea behind these shades.

This is so pretty! Also Karen, do you whiten your teeth at home? Any suggestions? I’ve used the new Crest Whitestrips before but was wondering what you used, since your smile is always so nice.

I have a question – how pigmented are these? Nars are usually so sheer with lipglosses and I don’t want to pay that much if they’re going to go on with little color pay-off 🙁
