This is what happens sometimes when you can’t figure out what lipstick to wear with your eye makeup. It starts out with you trying to find one of the new Make up For Ever Rouge Artist Lipsticks that won’t clash with your eye makeup but turns into a full-on swatch fest.

I did figure out that M100 and M202 make me want to drop down to my knees and thank the universe for lipstick. ?

I LOVE those two.

Oh, by the way, I’m also wearing quite a few new products in these pics that were released for fall this year. The eyeliner is bright blue Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner in Chaos, which I layered on top of Too Faced Sketch Marker in Mermaids Don’t Cry (a matte medium blue) and Too Glam to Give a Damn (a matte navy).

And that’s Tarte Naughty Nude Blush in Seduce on my cheeks, and the foundation I’m wearing is the new Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick in Beige.

Because I need to step up my stationary hoarding game…

It’s probably for the best that these Jetoy Choo Choo Art Notebooks are sold out right now because I have a whole drawer filled with cute notebooks at home that I’ve yet to touch.

Yeah…did I ever tell you that I’m a lifelong stationary hoarder with a soft spot for cute notebooks?

Of course I still signed up to be alerted when these are back in stock.

jetoy choo choo art notebooks

Can you name these famous works of art? Extra points if you can do all six. 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Oddly, I really like 603! Great city look. 209 is sweet. And I totally feel ya on the 202. I have to say, though, the star of the show is that liner combo. It somehow looks colorful, fantastic, and basic/neutral all at once – a blue neutral, as in it doesn’t stand out as super flashy. Really love it!

Thanks, Amy! The liner is really easy to do, too, which is another great thing about it. 🙂 I used a matte lighter sky blue shade on the inner three fourths of my lash line, then a darker matte navy on the outer fourth and for the flick. Then I layered the shiny cobalt blue on top of everything. Oh, and I also tight lined with a black liner!

    OMG the notebooks!

I love your eyeliner here, and all the lipsticks too, of course! I love the look of bright eyeliner, I need to buy more bright ones.

I need to wear bright ones more often too. It’s easy to get stuck in a black liner rut! Today I’m going to try either one of the green ones or the bronze one. 😀

      Hi Rachel,

It’s great! I had it on for 10 hours (!) yesterday and it didn’t move at all. The Urban Decay one (which I layered on top of the Too Faced ones) has a shiny finish. It looks like vinyl when it dries, which I think is really cool. Let me know if you have any more questions about them.

I will maybe admit the pastel mint and lavender are a little cray, but STILL. I want em. Thank you for swatching them!!
And um… I think I might be your stationary hoarding twin. Except my weakness is cards. Thank you cards, greeting cards, especially things that come in sets… Show me a cute graphic on a card and I’m a goner. But I am SO prepared to send people cute little notes when the need arises! 🙂

*High fives* I love cards too! Anything with a monogram and I’m in. By the way, have you heard of Minted? Their personal stationary, OMG! Here’s a link to it: minted.com. You’ll love me and hate me for this, I’m sure:

That’s the Hourglass foundation doing the work, girl! It does a great job of evening out the skin without looking heavy. Blurs pores too!

You look fab and totally ready to walk the aisles at TJs or Target. 😉 Seriously, all the “wearable” shades look great on you, but I do really also like 603. It’s funky but you rock it.

I can only name 4 of the 6 covers, instantly. I feel like I should have paid more attention in art appreciation class.

I also just got one of those kitty card holder (pretty sure it’s actually for pictures, but I use it for all my rewards cards) things from a shop in SF! It’s an Alice in Wonderland theme and she winks and kicks her leg when you move it back and forth. Super cute. Stationary nerds unite!

Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a.
