This is what happens sometimes when you can’t figure out what lipstick to wear with your eye makeup. It starts out with you trying to find one of the new Make up For Ever Rouge Artist Lipsticks that won’t clash with your eye makeup but turns into a full-on swatch fest.

I did figure out that M100 and M202 make me want to drop down to my knees and thank the universe for lipstick. ?
I LOVE those two.
Oh, by the way, I’m also wearing quite a few new products in these pics that were released for fall this year. The eyeliner is bright blue Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner in Chaos, which I layered on top of Too Faced Sketch Marker in Mermaids Don’t Cry (a matte medium blue) and Too Glam to Give a Damn (a matte navy).
And that’s Tarte Naughty Nude Blush in Seduce on my cheeks, and the foundation I’m wearing is the new Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick in Beige.

Because I need to step up my stationary hoarding game…
It’s probably for the best that these Jetoy Choo Choo Art Notebooks are sold out right now because I have a whole drawer filled with cute notebooks at home that I’ve yet to touch.
Yeah…did I ever tell you that I’m a lifelong stationary hoarder with a soft spot for cute notebooks?
Of course I still signed up to be alerted when these are back in stock.
Can you name these famous works of art? Extra points if you can do all six. 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
Oddly, I really like 603! Great city look. 209 is sweet. And I totally feel ya on the 202. I have to say, though, the star of the show is that liner combo. It somehow looks colorful, fantastic, and basic/neutral all at once – a blue neutral, as in it doesn’t stand out as super flashy. Really love it!
Thanks, Amy! The liner is really easy to do, too, which is another great thing about it. 🙂 I used a matte lighter sky blue shade on the inner three fourths of my lash line, then a darker matte navy on the outer fourth and for the flick. Then I layered the shiny cobalt blue on top of everything. Oh, and I also tight lined with a black liner!
OMG the notebooks!
I love your eyeliner here, and all the lipsticks too, of course! I love the look of bright eyeliner, I need to buy more bright ones.
I need to wear bright ones more often too. It’s easy to get stuck in a black liner rut! Today I’m going to try either one of the green ones or the bronze one. 😀
C207 is my favorite! These look so creamy and nice and pair perfectly with that liner.
The perks of being the daughter of an art history major, I know them all! I’m also loving those nude shades, so flattering.
I have this notebook with the Mona Lisa cover 😉
Nice to see that the new range of MUFE lipstick has such a wide range of colors, there’s something for everyone!

Hey Lulle!
Happy Tuesday. Did you start your new gig yet?
Yes! I even got my first paycheck last week, it felt so good, lol!

Oh that’s wonderful! I’m so happy for you. 🙂 Are you liking it so far?
Love that eyeliner! How’s the staying power?
I think I only recognize a couple of the art pieces, the van Gogh one is hilarious!
Hi Rachel,
It’s great! I had it on for 10 hours (!) yesterday and it didn’t move at all. The Urban Decay one (which I layered on top of the Too Faced ones) has a shiny finish. It looks like vinyl when it dries, which I think is really cool. Let me know if you have any more questions about them.
Swatchesssssss
I will maybe admit the pastel mint and lavender are a little cray, but STILL. I want em. Thank you for swatching them!!
And um… I think I might be your stationary hoarding twin. Except my weakness is cards. Thank you cards, greeting cards, especially things that come in sets… Show me a cute graphic on a card and I’m a goner. But I am SO prepared to send people cute little notes when the need arises! 🙂
Hi Shannon,
*High fives* I love cards too! Anything with a monogram and I’m in. By the way, have you heard of Minted? Their personal stationary, OMG! Here’s a link to it: minted.com. You’ll love me and hate me for this, I’m sure:
KAREN. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!!!
Gaaah, I’m drooling already! Guess I know what’s up next on the wishlist…
I don’t have a single thing by MUFE – their numbering system drives me batty! Gimme a 20-word product name anytime!

LOL, yeah. The numbers are a pain! I can never remember them either so I always end up just eyeballing it!
Thank u sooo much for posting the swatches karen.. totally made my day! I went skipping to work..
I think c209 looks gorgeous on u.. i like it the most..
U look like a siren bombshell with m402.. heck! Even c603 looks great on u.. u totally rock!
You’re welcome, girl! Hope you had a good day at work.
* sorry i meant c207 looks awesome on u..
I love 202 and 402 on you! Girl, you have the best skin ever!
Hey Lauren,
Hellooooo dear friend! How are you?!
That’s the Hourglass foundation doing the work, girl! It does a great job of evening out the skin without looking heavy. Blurs pores too!
I hope that things out your way are good. What’s new across the pond?
Hi Karen!!
Oh I’ll have to get this foundation of youth to be all glowy and young!
Depends on the day here…we finally have some sun so that’s good! Is Angel Baby letting you sleep these days?!
I like the nudes!

You look fab and totally ready to walk the aisles at TJs or Target. 😉 Seriously, all the “wearable” shades look great on you, but I do really also like 603. It’s funky but you rock it.
I can only name 4 of the 6 covers, instantly. I feel like I should have paid more attention in art appreciation class.
603 is crazy! It’s fun though. 🙂 Hey, it would match with your favorite Chanel blush… I’m just sayin’.
HAHA! Thanks! You know, the boys might actually notice THAT. It’s probably worth trying, just to see. 🙂
Btw, I’ve been thinking quite a bit about your great pics of SF from a few weeks ago. Thanks again for sharing them. I think we might finally do our “drive the coast and then fly to Hawaii” vacation next year. Fingers crossed!
I def want C207!

That one’s fun. It’s kinda got an ’80s vibe to it that I like.
i love wacky eyeshadow colors but I can’t get into them on my lips…..

I am quite embarassed that I know almost nothing about art history (despite my in-laws being art historians). 😛 Have you heard of Paperblanks notebooks, Karen? They are locally designed in Vancouver and are so gorgeous.
Syah recently posted … Who, What, Wear: Yellow Summer!
Hi Syah,
I haven’t! I just looked them up and they have some really pretty designs. Of course I like the ones with the cats on them, LOL! Do you have any of their journals? How do they hold up?
I have the Nocturnelle journal in the A4 size which I use to write my morning pages in daily. 🙂 It’s heavy but I really love the quality of the paper. Plus, it helps motivate me to write because it’s so beautiful!
Just looked that one up. SO pretty! Have you seen the Silver Filigree in Maya Blue? Gorgeous!
Yes! I have that one too but a small notebook version that I tote around in my bag for jotting down ideas on the go. 🙂 Hehe! Funny that you pointed that one out.
Great minds think alike! Is the small one heavy?
Forget the lipsticks (as gorgeous as they are) but that blue liner on you is sheer perfection! I have seen these UD liners at my Ulta but I couldn’t decide which shade to get! M402 combined with that blue liner is my favorite combination on you!
I got 4 of 6: Vermeer’s Girl w/a Pearl Earring, Botticelli’s Venus de Milo, Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, & Munch’s The Scream. What are the other 2?
Karen,
Those off shades of green, blue and lavender look awful on anybody.
Who ever designed those should be forced too wear them for a week straight…
Sorry you even had to put those on!
Oooo! Love M101! Will have to check that out for sure.
I also just got one of those kitty card holder (pretty sure it’s actually for pictures, but I use it for all my rewards cards) things from a shop in SF! It’s an Alice in Wonderland theme and she winks and kicks her leg when you move it back and forth. Super cute. Stationary nerds unite!
Love your eyeliner!
