Jemma Kidd Make Up School Blushwear Creme Cheek Colour Review

If you can’t remember the last time you awoke to a fresh-faced flush (when was that again? 1998?), recapture those cherubic cheeks of yore with Jemma Kid Make Up School Blushwear Creme Cheek Colour ($23).

Swept and blended onto bare skin or layered atop foundation, this cream-to-powder blush delivers fast, flushed cheeks in a long-wearing formula. Available in three shades (Pomegranate, Guava and Paw Paw) and packed with vitamins A, C and E, the velvety powder finish hangs on for hours.

BONUS: The slim packaging fits discreetly into most emergency overnight booty call kits. 🙂 Available at Space NK stores (I don’t believe it’s carried at Target).

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. I want to shout it from the rafters! TGIF!

TGIF for sure! Can’t wait for the work day to be over. I’ve never used a cream blush… kind of afraid.

You should try it! They’re really easy… just apply with your fingers, blend and go. 🙂

What are you up to this weekend?

No big plans but I am going to partake in the Sephora VIB freebie that’s happening today – 8/8! Seven free samples in a case with two Sephora buttons! Yay!

I’m not sure what I’m going to buy at Sephora so I can get the freebie though. Has anything that you’ve reviewed lately really stood out that would be an awesome purchase?

Hey Kymberlee, I just got the VIB stash and it’s even better than I thought! The buttons are really cute! I can’t wait to try out some of the stuff, especially the mascara (brush + comb?!) and the UD shadow!!

Me too! I can’t wait. 🙂 Er, not like I’m there everyday or anything…

Hmm… well, is there anything you feel like is missing from your beauty stash (eyeshadows, blushes, skincare?). If you could point me in a direction I’d be happy to offer some good ideas!

One thing I *don’t* need is more eyeshadow. I have a ton of that. Actually, I have a ton of make up so there’s nothing a really, truly need. Maybe a new blush because I only have two of those or some really nice hair products that can make my hair shiny.

Oh, one thing that I do need is something that can clear up my skin. I think this MAC Studio Fix Fluid is messing it up.

Does anyone have any suggestions on stuff they’ve found recently that they really love?

What about the new $10 Stila palettes? Another recent fave of mine is the new BE Buxom set of 4 mini glosses.

BE has a great set out right now called “Urban Vibe” and the colors are so pretty! It’s a great deal for $43. Also, LORAC has a luminizer for $9 right now and it’s fab! They’re up at the checkout counter.

            Oops, it’s $34, not $43!

Yeah, I think it is just the JK line at Target and not her Jemma Kidd line.
I love cream to powder blushes. I have some from Three Custom Color that I love – I’ll have to look for these at SpaceNK when I am in NYC next month.

TGIF indeed! I am totally excited for the weekend. I definitely need a break. Ugh.

As for the blush, I like it. I like how pigmented Jemma Kidd’s stuff is. Too bad they don’t have this at Target, though.

Like Kymberlee, I was afraid of creme blush too (hello, clown!) but I tried one from Clinique (GWP) a couple of months ago and it’s really easy to apply, and flattering. I got a lot use out of it until I bought my beloved NARS Orgasm. 🙂

And Happy Friday to you too, Karen! Work is officially over in an hour. Yippee!!

To be totally honest, I want to try the Paw Paw shade, just because the town I grew up in was named after the same fruit 🙂 Hardly anyone has heard of it, they’re pretty rare in my area anymore. I love creme blushes, so I’m going to try my best to get my hands on this one!

ooh, that looks really nice!! i havent actually tried many new cream blushes… usually powder ones come off after about ten minutes, so if this one is long lasting, thats great!! 😀

Ive always been scared of creme blushes cos i used 2 get pimples on my cheeks and i have some light scars from them now ( unfortunately every spot scars on me ) just red marks no texture problems, but i worry that a creme blush will accentuate these marks??? 🙁

I have this in the paw paw color, it is one of the best blushes that I have ever tired, it is creamy but not greasey and lasts all day int the FL heat without melting or moving around, it also make a great stain for lips. paw paw is a beautiful pinky peach and doesn’t overwhelm my extremely fair, pink based skin, I highly reccomend it.

I’m a total klutz when it comes to cream blushes. I don’t know why, but I can never seem to blend each cheek evenly and always feel like I end up looking like Bozo. 🙁

Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a.
