Have You Hit Pan Lately?

December 18th, 2015 by Karen 28 Comments

what-it-feels-like-to-hit-pan

This happened this morning to my pan of Rimmel Natural Bronzer in Sun Bronze (which is a total unsung hero, by the way), and all I have to say is VICTORY!

It felt glorious, in case you were wondering. 🙂

Have you hit pan lately? Inquiring minds want to know.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. The lip is MAC Just My Type Velvetease Lip Pencil, by the way.

P.P.S. STAR WARS!!!!!!!!! We’ve got tickets for tomorrow. 🙂
TGIF!

    Hey Karen and Bump ??

I most recently hit pan on Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronzer in Antigua… Love this as a blush, I’m wearing it everyday lately and just purchased another.

Hope you’re keeping well and happy Christmas to you and your family ????

I hit pan on two things recently, my Bobbi Brown pot rouge in Maui and WOS shadow in the Naked Basics palette. Unfortunately, I also lost Crave when the palette slipped out of my hand.

My son is seeing Star Wars tonight with his pals. My husband and I are waiting until Christmas Eve (a holiday tradition for us, movie and Chinese Food). Mat The Force Be With You (I know, I just couldn’t resist).

I hit pan on Too Faced Cocoa Powder Foundation in Fair last week. I did the tube equivalent of hitting pan with Murad Acne Spot Fast Fix and The Balm’s TimeBalm Primer.

I hit pan on Nars Mati Hari blush! Still had a little around the edges but it look rusted in the center so threw it out . Had a new one ready to go. And also brought one to put in my new custom Nars blush palette. Guess I won’t be running out of that anytime soon, lol.
Also finishing up two mascara’s. By Terry and drugstore one I use on lower lashes. I brought another By Terry one . It’s expensive but has good lash conditioners and I’ve noticed a difference in my lashes! I love when I finish up a makeup product because it’s so rare!

Oh gracious yes! Strangely, I hit the pan on just about all my makeup at the same time. Foundation, blush, powder, eyeshadow, mascara, and my beauty blender bit the dust. That trip to Sephora cost me a small fortune!!!

Yes! And I share your enthusiasm. I hit pan on my CG Queen Collection bronzer & I can see the pan through the teeniest “hole” made in my eyeshadow of UD Blackout & I’m well on my way to making a “hole” in my pan of MAC Unintereupted. Clearly, these are my workhorse/unsung heros. 🙂

Happy Friday! Congrats on the tix – we’re shooting for tomorrow, too! It’s had a ton of positive buzz but I’m avoiding the details. 🙂

No pans lately, for me. A couple of tubes, though.

Well, yes but it was an accident! I just got a bunch of ColourPop eyeshadows a few weeks ago, and I was still struggling to find the best way to apply them (there was definitely a learning curve for me). So I was rubbing a synthetic brush frantically on the surface of one shadow, and because of the play-doh like texture, it kind of lifted the whole thing and I could see the metal pan underneath! Luckily I was able to close the wound by patting the product back down. Phew!

I also have tickets for Star Wars, we’re going to see it at the Grand Lake Theatre in Oakland (the one that looks like an old concert hall and has an organ that they play during the weekends). The matinee tickets for the 3D version are only $5!!

Hitting pan seems nearly impossible! But I think I’m getting close with my Becca Mineral Powder in Nude. Such a fab formula!

Love the picture of Tabs. I haven’t hit pan in a while, but I’m down to the nubs of a few things and the very bottom of some foundations. My only true pan hit has been with blush lately. That’s the problem with having three main blushes. You hit pan on one and then you have to scrape it out if you want to use that color. UG. It’s DC too. Best blush for me ever. Stupid Armani. I have NARS Orgasm, Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry, and a Tarte blush. The Tarte is in a palette though so I forget it constantly. So for now, I’m pretty much out of neutral pink blush.

    Yep.
3 in my Naked basics, 1 in my Vice LTD, 1 in my Vice 3, and several in my Naked 1. Oh, and my UD Solstice has a huge pan-hole.

I think pan-hole ought to be a real phrase.

The only thing I’ve hit pan on is my Burberry Sheer Shadow in Trench. Which sadly is discontinued. It is my perfect base shade for getting rid of the redness in my lids and for making all the shadows on top blend smoother. Sigh.

I just hit pan on the shade Nectar in my LORAC Pro 2 palette and I’m kinda sad! It’s a great transition shade for me, but it’s not sold separately 🙁

I hit pan on my Stila custom colour blush in pink a loooong time ago. It’s my favourite blush, but I can’t afford a new pan right now so am trying to pick up enough product with the brush to keep using it for a while.

    Enjoy Star Wars!

Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a.
