Three MAC Must-Haves for the Club – Makeup and Beauty Blog’s Guide to Smart Clubbing, Part 5

When I hear music it makes me dance … I know you love that song by Debbie Deb! Anyway, when I hear music at the club I can’t help but dance. I can’t understood people who pay a cover and just sit around and bob their heads. The least you can do is shuffle your feet back and forth – it’s exercise, people! And the thing about dancing is that everyone looks silly doing it. We’re all in the same boat.

When I go dancing I get pretty damn sweaty, so I wear makeup that will make it through the night without disappearing. I have three MAC holy grail items that make it through a long night of dancing so, without further ado, here are three of my MAC must-haves for any clubbing night!

1. MAC Lipgloss in Nymphette. I am totally guilty of putting on Lipgloss while on the dancefloor, LOL. I love Nymphette because it’s got enough color to give my lips punch but not so much that I can’t put it on without a mirror.

2. Fluidline. I have a bunch of these. When I go out dancing I like to keep my eye makeup simple. I find that carefully putting on five different colors of shadows with 10 brushes is a useless endeavor because I end up sweating it all off anyway. So, I like to stick with eyeliner and waterproof mascara. I love Fluidlines because once you have ‘em on they don’t budge! I’ve danced for countless hours in Blitz & Glitz Fluidline and it’s never let me down at the end of the night.

3. 266 and MAC shadow in Concrete. Technically these are two things but when used in combination you can count it as one. =) I know I’m always going on and on and on about the 266 and Concrete combo but really, it’s worth all the praises. Even when I’m dripping in sweat on clubbing nights my eyebrows stay put. Love it.

Yesterday I repotted my tomato plant and so far the prognosis is looking good – ie., it’s not dead (yet). I also ended up running around and doing errands and managed to snag a cool patio table and two chairs from Bed Bath & Beyond for a hundred bucks! I put it out on my deck, so this morning I went out there and had my coffee and toast. Its amazing how little things like having your coffee outside on a sunny deck can bring joy!

Have a wonderful Saturday and I hope your weekend is full of adventure.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
