You know the old saying, “beauty is pain”? Well, in this case, you get all of the beauty while your loved ones endure the pain of looking at your terrifying face in this sheet mask!
The AmorePacific Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque is such a luxurious treat. Infused with 100% pure Bamboo sap and a blend of Asian botanicals, it moisturizes, plumps and firms.
If you’ve got an event where you need your skin to look its best, or your skin is just dull, dry and tired and you need a pick-me-up, look no further than right here.
The package comes with two treatments for $32, so this will definitely be a once in a while luxury for me. I’ll always keep a pack on hand, though, because they are THAT good. They’re one of those things that just make your skin look better.
It’s hard to find the words to exactly describe what happens between the time when you put one on and you take it off, but whatever it is, it’s magic.
This one is a little different than other sheet masks I’ve tried, because rather than the mask being pre-soaked in a solution, you get a little vial of the serum and a dry, gel textured mask. All you have to do is dump the serum on your face and spread it around.
There’s quite a lot of it, so be warned — things get a little slippery.
After your face is completely soaking in the serum, you pop on the sheet.
It’s not really a sheet; it’s nice and thick with a gel texture on one side and a fabric-y feeling side on the other. The gel side sits against your skin and sticks to the serum to help it fully absorb. And it comes in two pieces, so it’s nice and easy to apply.
Now that you’re looking like you could star in The Strangers, go around scaring people for about 10-15 minutes until the serum has completely absorbed. 🙂
Then peel off the mask to reveal your pretty face again! You should see plumper, more radiant skin.
Just a little tip, but don’t sneak up on small children when you wear this; they might be scarred for life. My husband and I may need to find Kai a good therapist. Oops.
Perhaps I’m a bit sadistic, but I think this is my new favorite “beauty is pain” scenario. 😉 haha
In all seriousness, this sounds like a fabulous treat! I like the fact that the serum is applied directly to the skin first, and that the actual mask is divided for easier application. It seems like you would get a more thorough use out of the product that way.

I love putting on the serum myself rather than messing around with a drenched mask! So much easier, and you’re right, it does feel a little more effective that way.

My daughter is so used to seeing me with the strangest things on my face, I doubt anything would scare her.

This looks amazing, I definitely need to try this out! I am so used to the typical sheet face masks where it’s all wet and slimy but this sounds like a nice change.
I think you will love it! Let me know if you give it a try 🙂

Total fan of skin care. It seems that there are so many good ones out there. But I still stick to my ole’ tried & true- bentonite clay mixed with apple cider vinegar. Works like a charm & is so inexpensive. As a disclaimer, I don’t have problem skin but it does need a face mask from time to time to rid any dullness & to freshen up my skin. My nephew finds it quite frightening 🙂
I am such a huge fan of the benonite clay! I actually did a blog post on my blog a few weeks ago about the best homemade masks and that one definitely made the cut!

Your comment about your kiddo cracked me up. I sometimes wear a dark grey charcoal mask and popped it on when my son was napping during my maternity leave not even giving it a second thought. Well he woke up mid nap and was TOTALLY freaked out. Lesson learned! 😉

Haha poor thing! He was probably wondering where his Mommy went! 🙂

Sexaaaay! Looks like the Estee Lauder Foil Mask but without the foil and with a different application process. Sounds interesting!

Haha oh thanks girl! 🙂 I’ve never tried any skincare from Estee Lauder, that one may have to be on my list of things to try!
