The Make Up For Ever Rock For Ever Eyeshadow Palette Rocked Me Like a Hurricane
Oh, gawd! So I have another bad TV addiction, and they call it Dancing with the Stars. Why they call it that I’ll never know, since said “stars” include third string reality TV-ers like The Situation from MTV’s Jersey Shore and Audrina from The Hills, but I digress…
I was just channel surfing one night a few weeks ago when I randomly stopped to watch. I swear it was like when Britney had her breakdown and shaved her head. I desperately wanted to look away but couldn’t. The show had me by the eyeballs and would not let go!
Maybe it was the sparkly costumes or the pyrotechnic displays (seriously, on stage fire is like the oldest trick in the “you gotta watch this!” book), but now I’m hooked. And who knew that Jennifer Grey would still be such a kick @ss dancer after all these years, or that 6’8″ Rick Fox would have to work on pointing his toes?
Last night’s episode had a rock n’ roll theme, which means flames, a weird appearance by Bret Michels and his blonder than blond weave, and an awkward pasodoble danced by former NFL champ Kurt Warner (El Hub is totally rooting for him!).
None of it really rocked and rolled to me, but the Make Up For Ever Rock For Ever Eye Palette ($45), on the other hand — that’s another story. Now THAT to me is ROCK. N. FRICKIN’. ROLL!
This limited edition studded eyeshadow palette from the Rock For Ever Holiday 2010 Collection could probably pass for jewelry, yet it’s so much more! It comes with four shadows designed for sultry, sexy smokey eyes.

Big Sexy Hair Spritz & Stay Handles Snooki Poofs with Ease
Need big hair in a hurry (heck, you never know)? Big Sexy Hair to the rescue!
Get long-lasting shine and touchable hold in a heartbeat (or so the company claims) with new Spritz & Stay ($15) non-aerosol hairspray. It’s formulated with “fast-dry technology” to (you guessed it) dry f a s t .
I needed help locking down the volume of my Snooki poof yesterday, and Big Sexy did the deed. I can’t tell if it dries any quicker than other styling products, but I like the hold. It certainly kept my poof nice and high! 🙂

L’Oreal Wants You to Millionize Your Lashes with Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara
L’Oreal wants you to “millionize your lashes,” and I guess they’re just assuming you’ll know what that means.
Go on, millionize them! I dare you. 🙂
If you’re confused, so was I when I heard the slogan for L’Oreal’s new Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara ($9).
Would I grow a million new lashes if I used it? Because if so that sounds like potentially too many… Or would my lashes grow in volume by a million times?
And why stop at a million anyway? Why not billionize your lashes? Let’s face it… A million just doesn’t go as far as it used to.
Overlooking 1) the silly slogan that doesn’t tell me anything about the product and 2) the fact that I’m a total word weirdo who obsesses over turns of phrase, I really tried to keep an open mind when I took Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara in Black out for a test drive.
The first thing I noticed about it: great brush. You know how some mascara brushes just don’t know when to stop? They grab too much product. Well, this one gets it right. I don’t even feel like I have to swipe it against a paper towel to remove any excess before applying.
How is that possible, you might ask? The Clean-Sweep Wiper System, BAM! The brush passes through a “web-like structure” and comes out of the tube loaded with the right amount of product for a single layer.

Blue Skies Smiling at Me: A Face of the Day with the Bobbi Brown Crystal Eye Palette
You know you’re from California when you’re already complaining about the weather after the first rains of the season. You see, I’m a certified weather wimp, and I was over the moon this morning when I looked out the windows and saw blue skies.
Tabs was even happier than I was because it meant he’d be able to go outside again after being cooped up all weekend long, and the first thing we did was go for a nice, long walk.
While he mouth mowed his favorite patch of grass, I gazed up at the sky and thought, “blue…” I know! — I’ll do a blue eye look with maybe a dash of purple to celebrate the day.
Right away I knew I wanted to use the Bobbi Brown Crystal Eye Palette from the Holiday 2010 Collection.

Rock steady, baby. That’s what I feel now. Not too high, not too low, just somewhere right around the middle.
Being too lax about exercise. I gotta get back into doing it almost every day because when I do I’m less moody.
Red, the smoother the better. No bold tannins for this girl, thanks.
Aww, man, I read tons of cheesy thrillers and totally devoured anything by V.C. Andrews (seriously, I read Flowers in the Attic eight times!) or Dean Koontz. I also went through a Harlequin phase, which I blame on Suzie, my clarinet playing friend from band. She carried romance books with her at all times and would lend them out like a library.
Probably running because it doesn’t take much time, but if they were easier (or possible) to do at home maybe dancing, swimming or surfing.
Yep! If left to my own devices and not electronic ones I’d sleep until at least 9 or 10.
Once in 2002, and I remember it like it was yesterday… It was a delicious blueberry and peach creation based on a recipe I’d gotten from my roommate, who was from the South. I remember being shocked at how many sticks of butter I used!
It depends. If I’m exhausted, then yes.
Snickers (they really satisfy)! And throw in a handful of candy corn while you’re at it, please. Thank you.
To write an entry in my journal every day, to keep my desk organized, to step away from the computer at 6PM (sooo hard to do!) and to meet a friend for lunch.
Howzit, holmes? Fancy meeting you here. 🙂
I hope your week got off to a good start. Please tell me things aren’t too cray-cray today.
