The Buzz on Burt’s Bees Holiday Kits at Target

October 31st, 2010 by Karen 26 Comments

I was at Target today buying Halloween candy when I stumbled on these cute holiday kits from Burt’s Bees. There’s a whole bunch of them for lips, body, hands and nails, ranging from $14.99-19.99. Some even come with little purses, too.

Ahh, the temptation! I want the $19.99 manicure set. It comes with a jar of Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Cream, Cuticle Cream, a lip balm and a little purse.

But for some reason I feel like I should be starting to think about holiday shopping for other people and not getting any of these for myself…which is bizarre because it’s only Halloween. I’ve already been seeing Christmas decorations all over the place. Target had a small but growing Christmas area. Can you believe it? Before Halloween? I guess they couldn’t wait for Thanksgiving this year.

The Cranberry and Pomegranate Spa Sets ($19.99) would make great gifts (you hear that, El Hub?). They come with a tube of Naturally Ageless cream and a tub of Burt’s bomb-@ss Cranberry and Pomegranate Scrub.

NOTE: If you haven’t tried it yet, you gotta get on that, G! It’s one of the best body scrubs I’ve found for treating dry winter skin. Come February your alligator scales will be thanking you for it.

See anything you like?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

      You and me both, girlfriend!

Have you ever tried the Cranberry & Pomegranate Scrub? It’s really great.

I’ve got a backlog of body scrubs I’m working through but as soon as I need a new one I’m trying it.

Haha, I’ve got a few piling up in the shower too. I keep trying to get El Hub to exfoliate (so he can help me work through the backlog), but he refuses!! 🙁

I don’t like that Christmas seems to be starting earlier and earlier. It’s getting silly. I don’t want to see holiday decorations in October. Trying to force the season to start so early makes it feel less special. 🙁 All that aside, I do love holiday makeup!

No kidding! Remember when it actually started in December?

How was your day? Did you do anything for Halloween?

      Hi Kaelin,

If that girl you saw was wearing a gray hat, jeans, white shoes and a plaid shirt then that was me!

Next time you should come say hi. I’m not scary, I promise! 🙂

Those are really cute. I like the purses. Of course, I need another small purse/make-up bag like I need a hole in the head, but they’re still cute! 🙂 Will the body scrub have me clinging to the shower curtain for dear life? Slippery tub floors are my phobia!

      Hi Kim,

Um, you and me both. I always find a way to use ’em though, whether it be to hold lipsticks, change, etc!

Yeah, the body scrub is quite slippery. Unless you plan on planting your bum smack dab in the bottom of the bathtub, you might want to go for something else…

You’re welcome! You’ll probably be better off with something non-oily! The bathtub should not be a scary place.

Oh, gurl. My grocery store and Target AND Walmart all had Christmas stuff up three weeks ago. Unforgivable.
    🙂
But really. Why can’t they wait ’til Thanksgiving???

You had me at “almond milk.” I love the smell of almond extract. It reminds me of maraschino cherries. In other words: yum.

I am getting one called Burt’s Bees Head To Toe Starter Kit, which is an amazing value for £14.99 but I guess you have it, too.

See I think it’s the little purses that get me! And the value, my goodness the value! And as a side note, I work at Sears and they had mini Christmas trees on top of all the cosmetics counters but the 29th of October. Craziness!
