Just a really quick tip to eke out every last drop from those free cream and liquid sample packets you get from beauty counters.
I wish I’d discovered this sooner, but better late than never.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

P.S. So…I played a little hooky today. Sort of. I just had to get out of the office because Tabs was driving me absolutely crazy, so I went to the mall, had a late lunch at The Cheesecake Factory, got a pair of shoes, watched some dogs and people…and ran into a friend who was also playing hooky. 🙂 (What’s up, Bernadette!?)

I’m not sure how I’ve read your blog so long without having seen your videos, but… you are so amazingly adorable. I’m interested to see how this trick works – and jealous of your hooky day! 😉

Great tip! I haven’t tried to use that trick. Usually I just tear the package open and most often than not, the product dries up or whatever after I first use it. 🙁

I like to keep the little jars that Sephora gives you with custom samples, clean it out when I’m done, and put my sample packets in there. That way I don’t have an open sample sitting out, it stays airtight, and I know exactly how much of the sample I have left. Plus, this stops me from opening too many samples at once, since I only have a few of those jars.

This is what I do also! I ended up buying a ton of little empty jars on a packaging site a long time ago so I could save samples, and then I use little paper dots and write what it is on each one.
