Rise up, my four-legged friends, and demand luxurious locks and tresses! Have I got some great news for you. 🙂
Last weekend I sent my intrepid assistant over to Pure Beauty to investigate an intriguing new luxury line of pet grooming products (human tested) from acclaimed hair guru Paul Mitchell. It’s called John Paul Pet, a comprehensive system of pH balanced shampoos, conditioners and pet wipes for cats (and dogs, hrmpf!).
Lackluster coat? Flyaway fur? Perhaps John Paul can help. If your career, like mine, depends on your beguiling good looks, it might be worth a try. You may not be an international cat/dog model, but you can still look like one with the right grooming.
Consider starting with one of the packaged kits, like the six-piece Pet Care Pack shown at the top ($55). It comes with the Oatmeal Shampoo, Oatmeal Conditioner, Oatmeal Conditioning Spray (are we detecting a theme here?), Tooth & Gum Wipes, Full Body & Paw Wipes and Ear & Eye Wipes (my Persian cat friends *rave* about these)… I think I see a great gift for Fluffy’s next birthday.

oooOOo I’m going to have to hunt these down in Canada! They sound great for my toy poodle. I think I would get the most use out of the wipes, as I am constantly having to clean the “goopies”/tears out of the corner of her eyes.

the same things happened to my pooch until i tried angel’s eyes, it’s a powder you apply there and it really diminishes the look of the “goopies” and over time helps prevent it.

I picked up one of the John Paul shampoos about a month ago for our dog and kitten. It seemed to be the only one that was mostly natural and could be used on dogs and cats. We’ve been happy with it!

How cool I’ll have to remember these, I’m in the process of looking for a new puppy.

Wow! Mojo will like this. He likes baths. Anja and Linus – not so much! 🙂

Oh Tabs, how adorable are you? Very adorable, that’s how.

My mom uses the oatmeal shampoo on her silky terrier, Teddy, since she’s allergic to everything! It works well for her…she’s definitely silky 🙂
(BTW, does anyone else see a typo on the Super Bright Shampoo bottle description? I’m thinking maybe they meant “Sparkling” instead of “Sparking”, but I could be wrong about that–Sorry, I used to be a Copy Editor)

My only concern would be that at least one product has tea tree oil in it, and that’s toxic to cats. It would be bad juju if somebody made their fuzzle sick. 🙁

I use this on my two cats and it is safe to use on cats. I checked with my vet and my groomer first.
I love the wipes on my Persian kitty and the body & paw wipes on my Russian blue rescue kitty, he loves to get in to everything 🙂 John Paul Pet makes really great products and I love that they are tested on humans first! That always makes me smile 🙂

I bought and used the John Paul Oatmeal shampoo, Oatmeal conditioner and Tea Tree Oil shampoo. I determined that I was better off using my ‘regular’ Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo on my Lab- it works better than the John Paul tea tree shampoo (meaning – it calms his skin much better and leaves his fur feeling cleaner).
I use a mix of shampoos for Mack (J&J Baby Shampoo, Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Oil, Nizoral [for what looks like occasional dandruff]). I wash him 2x using Kong’s Zoom Groom rubber brush – it works the shampoo in and gives him a massage at the same time. The 2nd wash ends with John Paul oatmeal conditioner. His skin and fur look SO much better since I began using this mix of shampoos with that brush and finishing with the conditioner.

If you had posted this on Sunday I would have thought it was one of your awesome made up Tabs modeling shots.

Three cheers for Paul Mitchell! Why wouldn’t anyone want the very best fur care products seeing as all our charming critters are completely covered with fur. My huskies love the shampoo which rinses clean and the conditioner which leaves their coats silky and soft. Well done, Mr. Mitchell!

Lol, I thought it was a gag with the first photo…just *wow*!

Hahaha, this is hilarious! My pug informs me that he is very posh indeed and wants to try these right away.

Cute! My dog Booker gets a good helping of shampoo and conditioner when he gets a bath already. He is very aware of how is fur is being a golden retriever, his blonde locks must be cared for with daily brushing and a washcloth moist with a bit of conditioner.

I read somewhere that tea tree oil is poisonous for cats.
My cats fur loves extra virgin coconut oil though. Her coat is shiny and moisturized and there are no flea/tick problems at all.
