Is it weird to get excited about deodorant?
Wait — never mind. Ya know what? I don’t even care, because Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant is the Beyoncé of underarm products. A superstar among all the #basicb*tch options for your ‘pits.
It has notes of jasmine, orchid, lily and sandalwood, and I think it smells amazing. It’s like Donna Karan’s original Cashmere Mist fragrance but richer and deeper, and it can even pass for a unisex scent. I’ve read several great reviews from dudes who also wear it.
Even though it’s definitely a “present” scent, I don’t think it negatively interferes with perfumes when I wear them. Doesn’t seem to matter which fragrance families, either. I think it meshes with fruity florals, white florals, spicy scents, masculine fragrances… It doesn’t get in the way.
Funny thing is, though, as I get sweatier and sweatier… I mean, when I’m doing something active, not in general…
What I’m trying to say is that I think it smells better and better the more I perspire. Several times in HIIT class, people have tapped me on the shoulder after I’ve been sweating for 60 minutes like a mofo to ask, “What is that you’re wearing? You smell so good!” and I’m like, “Guess what, fools! It’s my deodorant, haha!”
Yes, it smells amazing, but it also freaking works. When I exercise, I look like I was caught in a category 6 hurricane because GIRL, I GET SWEATY, but Cashmere Mist keeps my underarms completely dry and comfy.
Bonus: it never stains my clothes or leaves a residue behind on my shirts or dresses.
I’ve had this 1.7-oz. stick for, hmm…almost a year now? It $27, which is expensive for a deodorant, but it has so far lasted a while.
I hope you can track it down, because it always seems to always be out of stock at Ulta, Sephora and Nordstrom. I guess other people out there love it too!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I came here for the title.

I’ve seen this for so long and thought it was just a gimmick. Now that you say it actually works my curiosity has certainly spiked! I sweat a lot too, but even when I’m not active so it’s always been a struggle to find something that stops the sweat and the smells!

Does it contain aluminium? I try to avoid that in my deodorants if possible.

I splurged on this deodorant about a year ago and my boyfriend thinks it’s smells good but also thinks I’m crazy for spending that much!

It’s expensive for deodorant, that’s for sure! But at least it lasts a long time, right? Did you manage to find yours in store? Or did you have to order it online?
Rachel says
I ordered it from ULTA I believe. Yes it lasts a long time, especially because I only use it on “special occasions” lol whatever that means! I will get it again when/if this one runs out!

I don’t think it’s weird to get excited about a deodorant. When you find one that conceals the funk well, that’s newsworthy.

Is the antiperspirant in this strong? I use various clinical strength antiperspirants (I’m a sweaty gal) that all smell like weird baby powder and I’m always afraid to branch out into nicer-smelling deodorants because the antiperspirant is never strong enough! The notes on this sound right up my alley too.

This was the most commonly sold item when I worked in cosmetics in a department store. I remember one of the women who worked at Dior swore by this, and the Dior folks had to wear wool blazers in the store year round, so it must work. Maybe I’ll try this out.

I keep wanting to try this, but for some reason I keep forgetting to pick one up whenever I’m in Nordstrom. I guess I should just sit down and order one on-line and have it delivered.

There’s also a small set with the deodorant, and a small body creme and body wash (2.5 oz each) for $25. Item number is #5422166.
