clarins bust beauty
The more closely I look at Clarins, the more fascinated I become. Did you know their skin care line includes products designed to keep “the girls” firm?

The products are called Bust Beauty, and Clarins claims that both Bust Beauty Extra-Lift Gel ($58) and Bust Beauty Firming Lotion ($54) will “firm, tone and strengthen the delicate skin of the bust and decollete.”

I know I’ve mentioned that pesky white hair in my left eyebrow… Well, I’ve noticed other things ch-ch-ch-changing, too — some of them succumbing to GRAVITY.

Honestly, it was like one day I looked in the mirror and BAM! — there they were, kinda sad and droopy like a clown in a ’70s velvet painting, LOL!

I think I’m good about taking care of my breasts in other ways (PSA: please do your monthly breast self-exams, ladies!), but taking steps to keep them perky? — not so much.

What do you think about skin care products for your bust?

Right now I just use my regular body lotion (Johnson’s 24-Hour), but I’d probably roll my pennies for a dedicated beauty product proven to lift and firm.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Products like these boggle my mind but yet leave me very intrigued. After having two children, the “girls” have decided to do their own thing now & its not want I want them to be doing. I miss the perkiness of my teens but accept the ever-changing body of a woman. However, if it was proven that this stuff would firm ‘em up a bit & give a little lift, you better believe I would be running to the store. But, is it feasable that it will really work? That is the question….

    Hi Nicole15,

It’s the million dollar question! It might be hope in a jar, but hey, you never know. I sometimes feel like Agent Mulder’s poster on X-Files is my beauty product mantra — “I want to believe.” LOL!

If it actually worked then yes, I would use it but I don’t think any of these products work. It’s all a scam to get money from women who are desperate to “fix” anything and everything about themselves they feel isn’t right. Remember yesterday in the Monday Poll I said one of my personality traits was to be suspicious? LOL!

These products just change skin texture temporarily. For long lasting results turn to nautre. Cocoa butter, shea butter and olive oil (And a good bra).

As for gravity.. other than plastic surgery there aint nothing we can do to stop some of it happening in the chest area. Im 22 and ive already noticed the difference from being 16… and i dont even have much going on in that department.

I’m currently 8 months into breastfeeding and my girls will never be the same. So am I in mourning? Totally. If creams like this did work I’d buy it by the gallon. Unfortunately I think surgery is the only thing that will lift me up! And I’m not so into getting cut up.

Honestly, I think past a certain point surgery is the only truly effective way to fight gravity (not that I’m recommending it). And cremes like this sort of freak me out. Is it really even safe? Breast tissue is delicate.

I have never used Clarins’ products for the bust but have tried once a firming gel by I-cant-remember-which-brand. In a week the “girls’ tunred into stones…Well, it wasn’t so bad but they did feel firm! Not sure about the lifting effect. I stopped using it immediately because to me it felt very strange. Also made me wonder what exactly is the mechanism of this gel’s action…

no I dont use any special products for my “girlies”, they just about fill up a xs sports bra or an A cup…

    lol

as much as i like clarins FACE products i dunno about this

lift some weights + strengthen the chest muscles = natural lift!

imagine when you sweat you’d have sticky boobies lol

i used to use their firming cellulite cream which def firmed the thigh jiggles and reduced the appearance of the cellulite but all of a sudden i developed a sensitvity to the cream and dear god my thighs looked gross – i had the worst red bumps aggravating my thighs which then healed to little brown spots hence cellulite looked worse

my suggestion be weary about miracle creams they may make more problems than what they are worth

I used Clarins a lot when I lived in London – the French are obsessed with this kind of stuff. I never tried the breast items but I still totally lurrve me a Clarins facial and their Lotus oil. It’s a lot more expensive to be paying for Clarins with American $$$ though!

I’ve never tried booby creams but I definitely wouldn’t be opposed to trying them out. I admit I’m a bit skeptical that it would show any dramatic results but it never hurts to try.

Unfortunately I think we can’t escape wrinkles or sagging breasts – I would use it if it were free, but buy a product? I don’t think so.

  15. 15. Heidi said, on April 14th, 2009:

Hmm, the skeptic in me doesn’t fall for this hype but at the same time it sounds kind of cool. I’m naturally small (34B). Am I exempt from giving myself breast exams?

  16. 16. Karen said, on April 14th, 2009:

    Hi Heidi,

The American Cancer Society says that all women in their 20s and up should do it every month. It just takes a minute and could save you life!

Here’s the American Cancer Society’s step-by-step instructions on how to give yourself a Breast Self Exam.

    Hi Anastasia,

Oh! I’ve heard FAB things about their Lotus Oil. I’m afraid of it breaking me out!

    Hi Yadi,

I’m gonna need some firming cream if I don’t get back in the gym again. Gah! Fitness is the first thing to fall by the wayside when I’m busy. It sucks!

What Clarins face products do you use? I got a sample of the neck cream and unfortch I think it gave me a pimple on my collarbone.

    Hi Annalise,

Girl, I would kill for an XS sports bra. I can never wear those cute ones — I get stuck with the ones with hella industrial hooks.

I just got a sample of this at Sephora (without using any BI points) but I’m not sure what to do with it… can’t hurt try I suppose but I’ll wait until after my vacation when I can hide the evidence at home in case I’m allergic to it. :P

I’ve always wanted to try Gel Buste (for my girls) and Flashbalm (for my face). I’ve read some reviews, and haven’t been too hopeful for the Clarins bust products (for firming and lifting) but what-the-hell, I think it’s worth a try.
