Man, this stuff smells good! It’s all powdery and musky…and naughty, with just a hint of sweet jasmine.
Can a fragrance smell like you’re purposefully trying to get in trouble? Because that’s how this dry shampoo smells to me. 🙂
There are actually two versions, both of them new from Bumble and Bumble, and both of them with darned-near impossible-to-pronounce (for me) French names, seeing as how I butcher everything en français.
I think I’ll just call them “the new Bumble dry shampoos.” They’re available now in pretty blush pink packaging for $29 each, which gets you a 3.1-oz. bottle.
One of them, Très Invisible, is for normal-to-oily hair, and the other one, Très Invisible Nourishing, is the more moisturizing version for dry, damaged or coarse hair.
They’re called “invisible” because that’s how they’re supposed to look in your hair, even if your hair is dark.
The directions say to spray them from 10-12 inches away from your hair, and to concentrate on your roots, which is pretty is standard for dry shampoo. I can’t see the product at all unless I get carried away and use a ridiculous amount, and even then, I can’t see it anymore after I brush the powder through my hair, which is a step you’re supposed to follow with these.
I can feel it, though, when I touch my hair, and it feels a little powdery. It doesn’t really annoy me, but it’s something to be aware of.
Right now I’m rockin’ a two-day ‘do with Très Invisible (I prefer the regular one), and my hair feels pretty good.
Not as good or clean as it feels when I use R+Co Death Valley, because maaaaan, when I use that spray, my roots feel like someone took an industrial strength vacuum to them.
But this is good. I love the scent, and I also love that the spray doesn’t make my hair feel stiff, which is a très important detail to moi. I also think it’s nice to be able to switch up your scents when it comes to dry shampoo, so it’s not just about which ones are better. For me it’s also about getting tired of the same scents.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I never really paied attention to the scent of dry shampoos, but recently more and more brands are releasing different “flavors”, so there seems to be a market for that!

They’re handy, especially for busy moms!

Glad you found another dry shampoo to keep things interesting! I’ve only used a couple B&B products but I’ve liked them. I still have a deluxe sample of their thickening hair spray that I prefer to use as a root volumizer (spray and then blow dry). It’s good for travel.
PS Happy Friday. 🙂

Hi Kim,
I’ve used their thickening spray and liked it. B&B does cool things! Have you ever tried their shampoos and conditioners? I always fall back on Gentle Shampoo and Super Rich Conditioner.
Happy Friday to you too! What are you guys up to this weekend?
Kim says
I haven’t used much from B&B – I usually try to grab some of the deluxe samples from Sephora if they are an option. We had a very busy weekend but the weather has been gorgeous (if a bit hot). I hope you had a good visit in the East Bay!! 🙂

Try their conditioners if you can. The Coco line is also very good (and it smells delicious).
Getting out to the East Bay was kind of rough, mostly because Connor was having a hard time in the car. She usually loves her car seat and going for drives but she was upset the entire drive out there and for part of the way back. She would only stop crying if I held onto her. Poor thing! She’s doing a lot better now. We had fun with our friends and family though. Oh… and I had some terrible boba tea, which isn’t exciting, but still noteworthy. It was probably the worst I ever had!
Did the boys get their school pics back yet? I hope the concealer worked out!

Will have to check this shampoo out! Btw where did you get that great shirt??
Karen says
Hi Anna,
It’s from Target. I wrote about it a while back; this post should have links to the tees (hopefully they’re still available).
P.S. The book is always better, isn’t it?

I’m pretty sensitive to scent, which makes dry shampoos hard for me to use. I tried this one at Sephora and it had a very subtle scent, not at all offensive. I’ll pick one up once I run out of my Batiste clean and light, although their price is pretty hard to beat.
