Wait — so hunting for limited edition travel makeup exclusives at the airport doesn’t count as cardio? Well heck, I think it should. Hauling my carry-on bag from gate to gate, searching through each and every duty-free store to locate hard-to-find makeup goodies, must burn at least a few hundred calories.
I know I’d gladly break a sweat looking for the new Estée Lauder Modern Chic Face Palette. The new travel exclusive palette includes four powder eyeshadows, a powder blush, one face powder, one full-size lipstick and a travel-size mascara and eyeliner, all tucked away in a stylish midnight blue zippered case.
Swatches: 1. Pure Color Lipstick in Mystic Mauve, 2. Pure Color Eyeshadow in Ivory Slipper, 3. Pure Color Eyeshadow in Iridescent Violet, 4. Pure Color Eyeshadow in Amethyst Spark, 5. Pure Color Eyeshadow in Tranquil Moon, 6. Signature Silky Powder Blush in Pink, 7. AeroMatte Ultralucent Pressed Powder in Transparent, 8. Double Wear Lengthening Mascara in Black, 9. and Double Wear Eye Pencil in Onyx
I love the case, and I think the colors that come in it go together perfectly, but the eyeshadows might be a little too sheer for me. They’re right on the cusp.
Ya know, this would probably make a great gift for a gal who loves sheer shadows and easy-to-wear plums, taupes and mauves.
PRICE: TBD, but based on MAC’s travel exclusive kits, I’d guess between $40-60
AVAILABILITY: Limited; available internationally at select airports and duty-free stores

I always look at these travel sets and wonder whether the shadows are sheer, so thanks! I think these are great ideas, but if only the shadows were a tad more pigmented.
