Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Care Kit ($10) smells just like a holiday party! Some may find the fragrant three-piece body care kit a little too eau de potpourri, but for the most part I like it.
The limited edition set, with products scented with a blend of apple cider, cinnamon, orange and pomegranate fragrances, comes with wee portions of Weleda’s Pomegranate Hand Cream, Body Wash and Body Oil from their Pomegranate Body Care Collection. They’re designed to target aging skin (doesn’t all skin age?), and the small tubes contain just enough product for about three to five uses each.
Now, these are perfect for dry winter skin. The Creamy Body Wash moisturizes more like a lotion than a sudsy wash, while the Body Oil feels thick and luxurious (my shins and feet it). As for the Hand Cream, it leaves my paws a little greasy, but I can live with that since it also leaves them baby soft.
I’d seen the line, which has been around since 1921, at Whole Foods and Target a bunch of times but just never got around to picking it up. Now I wish I’d tried it sooner!
They’re all about flowers and herbs and made sans pesticides or other harsh chemicals. From what I’ve seen of the ingredients and considering the reasonable price, I’m impressed. All three items in the set contain plant oils and extracts up high on their ingredient lists.

My biggest issue with these is how small they are, but at least they’re within the TSA’s limit on carry-on liquids. Stocking stuffers for who friend who travels a lot, perhaps? 🙂 Or the company gift exchange (they qualify as $10 or less)? I think the scent is neutral enough for both men and women.

That is actually a great price. I haven’t tried anything from Weleda, but I know they’re a big name in the naturals market. And they’re Swiss, so how can you go wrong? 🙂 I’ll have to check these out at Target because I’m starting to feel like a big ball of dryness!
Karen says
You and me both. I’ve been washing my hands more than usual and going through so much hand cream it isn’t even funny. It’s like the Sahara set up shop on my skin.
Kim says
It has to be the weather. But I know what will make me feel better. Dior Liner in Argent Silver. YAY! 🙂
Karen says
I had a feeling you’d like it. It’s like a glitter EXPLOSION!
Did I already ask you if you hit up the Sephora F&F sale? Today is the last day and I’m actually thinking of doing a second mini-haul.
Kim says
No, I didn’t, unfortunately. The end of my day was a bit stressful (and I’m never stressed so everyone was getting a big kick out of it) because of the computer situation. I had to get my display colors and wallpaper just right and it was taking forever (I know, OCD much?). 🙂
Karen says
I’m really particular about how my monitor looks too. You’re not alone!
Is everything all settled now?
Kim says
I think I’ll have this loaner until next week at best. I’ve sent an urgent note to our IT gal to ask her to please make it as quick as possible. I’m sure she’s laughing and rolling her eyes right now. I miss my bookmarked sites the most! Thank goodness for history. 🙂
Nina says
ohhh perfect for my mother in law! 🙂
Karen says
Hi Nina,
Is your mum-in-law a Weleda fan? This is gonna be a nice stocking stuffer!
Nina says
she likes pomegranates! 🙂
i always try and give her a few things for christmas just to cheer her up – she takes care of my father in law who is a cancer survivor. 🙂
my sister will also probly get this!
Karen says
I’m wearing the hand cream right now. It smells good enough to eat. 🙂
By the way… you’re a great daughter-in-law!
How’s your sis doing, btw? Is she all recovered from her emergency operation?
Nina says
she is 🙂 i drove her to her check up and the doc gave her the all clear to resume semi normal activities. thank you for asking!
ohhh … then she will love this set – she likes fruity scents (i gave her the korres quince body butter and shower gel and she liked that) … and perhaps i can have a set too! 😀
Karen says
At this price you can get sets for all the lovely ladies in your fam. 🙂
Glad to hear your sis is feeling better!
Anywho, what are you up to tonight?
Tracy says
I really like their Sea Buckthorn Oil hand cream, so this is something I’d like too. How’s the scent?
Karen says
Hi Tracy,
It’s very holiday — oranges, cranberries, apple cider and a pinch of cinnamon.
What’s the Sea Buckthorn hand cream scent like? Is it ocean-y?
Tracy says
It’s citrusy. It’s in an orange tube.
Lolly says
I’ve tried their natural toothpaste. Great way to avoid chemical nasties!
This set sounds really nice for the holiday season 🙂
Karen says
Hi Lolly,
I didn’t know they made toothpaste. Does it taste good? I’ve noticed some natural toothpastes taste kinda salty.
Anyway, this set is nice, especially if you like warm, wintery scents. I’m wearing the hand cream right now as a matter of face.
Happy Wednesday!
Lolly says
I actually tried their “Salt Toothpaste” so it was extreeeemely salty! I want to try their other ones, they have pretty good rating on makeupalley.
My favourite natural toothpaste is from Miessence in the Anise flavour. It tastes like licorice and the saltiness is non-existent for me now after a few brushes 🙂
Hedy says
I’ll have to check this out.
Karen says
Hi Hedy,
Lemme know what you think of it! 🙂
Jennifer says
I actually really love weleda, I use their rosemary hair oil and it is awesome on my tighly curled hair, it is great when I blow dry my hair, and it soothes my scalp which tends to get pretty dry at times. It also is great for dandruff. Their pomegranate hand cream gets me compliments every time I use it. I can’t wait to try this set.
Karen says
Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for the hair oil rec. I have wavy hair and a moody scalp that gets dry/flaky on occasion, so this product sounds right up my alley.
Question for you — when you apply the oil to your scalp, do your roots get all greasy?
bagaela says
I have the pomagranate face cream, and gosh, it has the best smell i’ve ever scented, but hell, it’s killing my face, my skin hates alchol in face creams, and it’s the third one on the inci list. It makes my skin so hyper-sensitive and red and itchi, so i decided to usi it as handcream. I hope my cold hands will like the formula.
Karen says
Hi Bagaela,
Sorry to hear about the cream. 🙁
Glad to hear you’ll be able to “repurpose” it as a hand cream. I do that with stuff my face can’t tolerate, too (sometimes I also put it on my chest or on “the girls”).
