If your eye looks pack more colors than a double rainbow, take a gander at the new Urban Decay 24/7 Shadow Pencil Blending Brush ($16). Designed for use with the new spring Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eyeshadow Pencils, its synthetic fiber brush head is certainly better for blending than for application (it’s a little stiff and tends to push products around), but I think it’s still worth having in your makeup kit, particularly if you prefer a sharp or sudden transition between your eye colors as opposed to a subtle gradient.
Here’s a quick look at it blending on my hand…
PRICE: $16
AVAILABILITY: Coming soon to Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s and urbandecay.com.

I have the same ring as you xD I think I would be more likely to use this in the outer corner than for blending.

Love this! And it looks rather small, which is good for me (I have really small lid space and crease)

thanks for adding the video! I like being able to see the brush in action. 😀
the Urban Decay shadow pencils look fatter than the eye pencil ones, is that true?
Solangel says
That video was so zen, for some reason xD Well, the brush is definitely designed for those pencils only, I wish it was cheaper :/
Audrey says
LOL to the zen comment! ( I agree!)

I think it’s the audio track in the video… You can even hear a clock ticking in the background, LOL!

I’m too distracted by all the glitter in the shadow pencils – my nemesis! 😛 Thanks for the honest review, I’ll pass 🙂

Love the shadow sticks, and I love the brush! I also love that ring! Mind telling me where you procured it from?

Love the shadow sticks! As for the brush, I’ll pass as I already have two pencil brushes and don’t really need more lol.

Great review! And dang, those shadow sticks are glittery! Which means I should totes get my hands on them soon. 🙂
I tend to get synthetic brushes for blending rather than application* – especially the Taklon ones for eyeshadow blending – but judging by what you’ve written and demonstrated here, this Urban Decay one does seem to be quite stiff compared to the ones I’ve used in the past. You’re right about this being a better choice for transitioning between two colors while still maintaining the sharp contrast, which is probably best when working with adventurous and multi-colored looks.
*The only exception: Taklon brushes for applying foundation and concealer, which are total game-changers for me in terms of working with liquid and cream formulations.

OMG those pencils look fabulous! The brush looks great too-it does s great job of blending.
Nina says
i like the pencils but might skip on the brush … i have a feeling that i own brushes that will blend these shadow pencils better….
Gina says
The pencils look nice, but they’re so similar to the NYX jumbo eye pencils, and so much more expensive! I’m sure they have much better staying power, but I’ll pass. Pretty cool brush, though!
