Saw the new Spider-Man movie last night (loved Andrew Garfield as Spidey!), but there’s a creature in the movie, a scaly reptilian beast, that reminded me of my shins.
Yes, I believe I’m on the verge of a dry skin crisis, one brought on by professional exhaustion.
You see, ever since his movie career started taking off, Tabs has been working me to the bone.
On the one hand, it’s good overtime, but by bedtime, I’ve been so exhausted that I haven’t been wanting to moisturize my bod after my shower, so I’ve been skipping the lotion and crawling straight into bed, ashy legs and all (please don’t tell my mom).
I come from a long line of dry skin sufferers… Growing up, lotion was revered in our house like it was manna from heaven, and if I had a penny for every time I got lectured about applying lotion on my legs before going outside to play, well, I’d have a few hundred extra pennies right now.
Segue to ELF’s new $3 Milk & Honey Lotion Wipes. Yes, babe: wipes. 🙂
They’re like makeup remover wipes, except instead of containing makeup remover, they’re soaked with a lightweight liquid moisturizer.
They come 16 wipes to a pack, each of them infused with helpful hydrating ingredients like aloe, cocoa butter, vitamin E, soy, gingko biloba, coconut milk and sweet almond oil.
Perfect for when you don’t want to lug a bottle of lotion around, or when you’re traveling and want to save space in your carry-on bag.
Doh! Now why didn’t I think of these? What a great idea.
There also come in six different scents — Vanilla & Coconut, Milk & Honey, Cucumber & Melon, Peony Petal, Shea Butter and Sweet Mango.
I’ve started using the Milk & Honey wipes, which smell divine, after my shower at night. With one of them, it takes me about 30 seconds to moisturize my arms, legs and torso; when I’m done, my skin looks and feels baby soft.
No thick or greasy residue, either. A necessity in this heat.
I don’t suspect they’re moisturizing enough for the super dry skin I experience in winter, but here now in July, they’re perfect.
PRICE: $3 for a pack of 16 wipes
AVAILABILITY: Available now at drugstores and also online

Must try these!!! My go to wipes are Simple and Neutrogena but these sound great and so cheap.

Hey Karen! These look great for travel and taking to the hospital {I’m having a baby in a month} and I was wondering if you had tried them on your face? Do they seem like they would be sensitive enough to pack in lieu of a bottle of face moisturizer?
Kim says
What a great idea for on-the-go moisturizing. It definitely takes me more than 30 seconds to apply regular lotion after the shower so it would be quite a time saver, too. I’m curious about how many applications I get from a regular bottle of lotion, and how it compares to the 16 sheets for 3 bucks. I’ll have to start counting!

That’s a great product concept, and I haven’t seen these yet. After taking a loooooong weekend for the July 4 weekend, these would have been perfect. Seems like one of these wipes goes a loooooong way, too. 🙂

Hi Nina!
I hope you and the hubs are enjoying your trip so far. Have you guys eaten anything nommy yet? FOOD TRUCKS!
Jenna N. says
OH I hope they have this at Target. I’m going to Antigua with a carry-on bag only. This would be a great way to save some space in my 1-quart bag for my lbeauty products!
Karen says
Hi Jenna,
YES! I’m so excited for your vacation. Have you made packing list yet?
Jenna N. says
haha yes actually! I went through your old packing posts and copy and pasted your beauty list and made my adjustments. =) Unfortunately I couldn’t’ find these wipes at Target. boo! Looks like it’ll be a travel size bottle of Aveeno moisturizer instead that comes with me, but I fear it won’t last half the trip!

E.L.F. has been on the come up lately! I will be looking into these!

Hi Sephora,
Cute handle! 🙂

These lotion wipes are a really neat concept, and they do sound like they’d be great for travelling.
Hahaha, your comment about the creature in Spider-Man reminding you of your shins made me burst out laughing. I’d said it before, but I’ll say it again – I love your sense of humour, Karen!
Karen says
Aww, thanks babe! 🙂 Did you watch the movie? It so good, right?
Katherine G says
Those sound amazing! The Milk and Honey flavor is good for nighttime…my dad’s favorite “go-to-sleep” remedy was warm milk and honey. Works like a charm! Bath and Body Works actually had that flavor for a while (they still might) for their nighttime lotions. I will have to check them out for traveling – sure beats carrying bottles or tubes of lotion.
Karen says
Hi Katherine G!
Best bedtime drink ever. 🙂 I will probably have it tonight before I go to bed.
How have you been? Did you have a good 4th?
Natasha says
Awesome!!! Will definitely have to add these to the Beijing bag — always on the look-out for useful, non-spillable stuff! Have you tried those sunscreen towelettes? I am hesitant b/c I’m not sure they actually deliver the SPF they claim….and I can’t afford to get burned…. and yet, there’s nothing worse than sunscreen blowout in your luggage (which happened 7 years ago when we went to Seoul)… it’s not pretty.

I saw the Shea Butter and Mango Wipes and I was weery, but now I’ll definitely go back and pick some up. Thanks!

Omg, I just bought these! I got the Peony Petal & use them as eye makeup remover wipes. I looove the scent, so fresh & so clean 🙂

I saw them on target and I was going to buy them, but haven’t search for reviews, and now for the good price, I’m going to try them 🙂
