Holy wow! That’s a lot of liners. And they’re full size too!
The pencils in the Korres Limited Edition Vitamin E 10-Color Pencil Kit work out to just $3.25 each ($32.50 for the kit). Of course, all of them are green. 🙁
No, not literally. I mean they’re eco-friendly and 100% natural, according to Korres, made with moisturizing Vitamin E and jojoba oil. And considering that eyeliners this size (standard 0.04 oz. pencils) usually go for $16 apiece, the kit’s one of the best holiday bargains I’ve seen this year so far.
Korres included a wide range of pigmented colors in popular shades from their permanent line…
From left: Long-Lasting Eyeliner in 1 Black, Long-Lasting Eyeliner in 1S Black Soft, Long-Lasting Eyeliner in 2 Brown, Long-Lasting Eyeliner in 4 Green, Soft Eyeliner in 4S Purple
Swatches from left on NC35 skin: 1 Black, 1S Black Soft, 2 Brown, 4 Green, 4S Purple
Long-Lasting Eyeliner in 6 Metallic Grey, Soft Eyeliner in 6S Golden, Long-Lasting Eyeliner in 7 Light Grey, Long-Lasting Eyeliner in 9 Blue Petrol, Long-Lasting Eyeliner in 13 Sky Blue
6 Metallic Grey, 6S Golden, 7 Light Grey, 9 Blue Petrol, 13 Sky Blue
Do you like soft, smudgy liner looks or liners layered beneath powder shadows? If so you might like these a lot. All 10 of them blend and glide like Olympic ice skaters along lash and waterlines.
Paired with a good eye primer, I’ve been getting about five hours of wear along my lash line from these and about three hours along my water line. I don’t think they last as long as either the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencils or Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes, but I should also say that my lids have been oilier than usual lately, and that might be cutting down their wear time.
Even having to reapply these liners a little more often than I’d like to, I love their vibrant colors, bargain basement price and soft texture.
PRICE: $32.50 for 10 full-size pencil liners
AVAILABILITY: Sephora stores and online

I’m not getting sick! I’m not getting sick!
Well, I felt pretty good when I woke up this morning, but I sure am worn out now. I hope I’m not catching a cold. Just in case, I’ve been drinking lots of water and popping vitamin C like it’s going out of style! I may have to bust out the Cold-Eeze tonight…
I did perk up a little when I saw this new mascara from Ultraflesh. It’s called Panthera ($26), ha! Like from Thundercats? Wait — that was Panthro.
I showed it to Tabs, and I think he may have recognized the cat, ya know, from a previous kitty modeling gig. 🙂
So what was the highlight of your Wednesday? Anything exciting to report. Mine was probably the Tocca hand creams I’ve been testing (more on that soon), and the fact that Tabs was extra lovey today.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
Glosslizard says
I just love the way the light grey pencil looks, almost like a sage green! It’s kind of a bummer that it swatches greyer than that!
Panthera must have been Panthro’s long-lost twin sister! 😉 Is it wrong of me to covet that mascara just for the ridiculous packaging? Can’t wait to hear how it performs!
I’m so happy Wednesday is over, weekend here we come! 😀
Karen says
Oops, I just caved in. 🙂 I hope it’s good! And that they release other big cat-themed mascaras in the future.
Glosslizard says
I’m hoping they stick with the cat motif and branch out to other products! Cat-shadows, please! =^..^=
Karen says
I’d like some cat makeup brushes. 🙂
Elaine says
I better be able to find these at my Canadian Sephora… or I may cry
Karen says
Hi Elaine,
I checked the Sephora Canada website and it’s on there! 🙂
kayann says
I love the petrol blue liner! BUT I’ve been banned from Sephora by my hubby! Well, banned maybe dramatic. I get chastied everytime he sees a black and white bag! It’s totally worth it though 🙂
Karen says
That’s why you need to carry a big purse when you go to Sephora. 😀 Trust me, I know what I’m doing.
Jenn says
Hmm, would these last longer after setting with a powder? I really like 6S Golden, but I think I’ll stick with MUFE Aqua liners!
Hope you’re staying healthy Karen!
Karen says
Hi Jenn,
For sure! That would totally help bump up the wear time.
gio says
The pencils look beautiful but it’s a shame they don’t last longer.
Karen says
I know!
Kim says
I’m pretty stuck on my UD liners (and actually stressing because I need to sharpen a few and I’m afraid I’ll ruin them!). I think the short(er) wear time for the Korres pencils is a deal-breaker for me, but the certainly are pretty.
Whenever I feel like I’m getting sick, I run. It always works. Maybe it just gets my immune system pumping. 🙂
Karen says
I totally get that — those suckers are small! Are there any colors you find yourself going through quickly? You could just always buy a full-sized stick once you finish a mini one. They last a really long time, too.
Kim says
Good point! I’m trying to rotate them evenly, but I find myself reaching for Mildew, Rockstar and, of course, Gunmetal most often. I think I may just need a better sharpener. Any suggestions? 🙂
Karen says
Love Mildew. 🙂 I’m currently going through a Ransom phase, myself.
If you’ve got any Chanel or YSL sharpeners laying about those work really well!
Kajal Couture says
Nice colors, but I prefer UD and my MAC Pearlglides. What eye pencil sharpener do you use? I find some that dont sharpen evenly and then the pencils keep breaking.
Karen says
Hi Kajal Couture,
I just use my regular pencil sharpener from YSL.
Kim says
Oh, shoot, sorry. I should have scrolled down. Disregard my sharpener question, please. 🙂
Karen says
NO worries, boo!
Nina says
i likey … im always a fan of eye pencils bec i find them easier to work with ….
Karen says
Good morning, Nina!
I go through phases. Sometimes I get enamored with liquids and gels, and other times I get back to my lining roots with pencils. 🙂
This is soooo old but did you ever find those fatty Nyx pencils at the drugstore?
Nina says
i ordered em from hautelook during a sale! 🙂 theyre soooo pretty! 🙂
and hello thuurrr karen! 😉
Karen says
Oh good! I’m glad you got a hold of them. Don’t lose them in the move, now.
Erin says
I hauled these in the F&F sale for $26 :). I am not a fan of the Purple, Sky Blue, and Light Grey, but they were such a steal! I’ll give those to a younger cousin or something. I am wearing Blue Petrol right now :).
Karen says
Hi Erin,
Nice! Blue Petrol is one of my faves — looks great on the waterline (especially if you have brown eyes!).
Did you pick anything else up from the sale?
Erin says
Yep, I got the UD BOS III and Nars Orgasm :).
Yanna says
Wooow totally in Love with the blue petrol! awesome!
greetz from Belgium
xoxo
Karen says
Hi Yanna,
I love that shade!
danielle says
karen did you ever have acne? how did you deal with it? you have perfect skin.
Karen says
Hi Danielle,
I had acne when I was a teenager and in my mid-20s. My skin’s been pretty stable for the last few years with the exception of pimples here and there when “Aunt Flo” comes to visit every month.
When I was a teenager my derm prescribed Accutane, and that was after a bunch of other alternatives didn’t work. It carries some risk, but it was the only thing that cleared up the cystic acne on my cheeks.
During the second bad round of it in my 20s the Pro Activ three-step system cleared it up.
I’ve found that a combination of gentle cleansers, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid (BHA) and exfoliating with the Clarisonic work for me.
Here’s a list of skin care that I’m currently using:
Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser
Clarisonic Mia with sensitive skin brush head
Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion (this is the BHA product)
Pro Activ Repairing Treatment (this is the benzoyl peroxide product)
Retin-A Micro (for the getting old part, LOL)
Clarins Hydraquench Lotion at night and Hydraquench with SPF during the Day
Korres Quercetin & Oak Eye Cream (although if I had all the $$ in the world I’d use Chanel Sublimage Eye instead)
Oh yeah — keeping your hands off your face helps, too. Picking at the zits only seems to make things infinitely worse.
Lemme know if you have any other questions!
Vanessa says
Why do you have a sad face on your post if they’re green?
Karen says
Hi Vanessa,
It’s a joke. 🙂
Sarah B. says
This is most definitely going on my Christmas list. 🙂 That is such a good deal– I hope they don’t sell out too soon!
Feel better soon!
Karen says
Hi Sarah,
Thank you. 🙂
I checked the Sephora website and the kit’s still available. If you can’t find it around your neck of the woods you always have the option of snagging it online, yay!
Tracy says
Love that Petrol Blue too. Nothing like a good blue eyeliner to make those peepers look more awake!
I saw that mascara-I wonder if 60% of the time, it works every time? 😀
Karen says
Hi Tracy,
Haha, I guess we’ll find out. I ended up caving last night. Can’t wait to try it!
Trisha says
Okay, I totally want these liners. I’ve never tried Korres liners before, but the swatches are amazing. And it’s a really good price. So, I can’t really think of a good reason not to get this, other than my complete lack of funds.
Karen says
Hi Trisha,
Korres makes some nice things. They’re lip and eye products are stand outs!
Vonvon says
Never mind if they last longer or not….I love colored liners and these are beautiful! Thank you for the swatches. And a great deal indeed!
Phyrra says
Blue Petrol is amazing and gorgeous.
AshBash says
im hoping to receive this for christmas!
Karen says
Hi AshBash,
I hope Santa brings you the set. 🙂
LC says
Hiya! Are these pencils safe for lining the waterline? Actually, for that matter, how do we know which pencils are safe for the waterline? I heard to use only kohl liner for that.
Karen says
Hi LC,
Yeah, these are fine for the waterline; if you want to be extra careful you might want to keep anything with glitter away from the area though.
nikki m. says
ive been wanting these liners for the longest time!! i keep filling up my shopping cart and then changing my mind at the last minute because i feel like i might find something better but after your post about them i finally checked out 🙂 i would have liked to seen them on your eyes but i could live with the cute <3 swatches..
i ordered mine from the korres website and there is a sale for most of the sets and the soft liners for 20% off
