Curiositease, Part Deux!

I hate to be your pusher but you know you love it, you need it, you want it… okay get your mind out of the gutter, dirty birdy. I’m talking about the MAC Curiositease Holiday 2007 collection, which drops on November 15. If you’ve got some holiday shopping to do, then put the Softsparkle Eye Pencils, Warm Pigments and Glitter and Cool Pigments and Glitter sets on your list!

A Fab Gift For Your Teenager or Your Fave Party Girl

Got a teenage daughter, a girlfriend who loves to hit the clubs or a fellow makeup junkie that can’t get enough sparkle? These sets are great gifts for the glitter girl in your life!

If you really want the rad mom o’ the year award spring for *both* the warm and cool Pigment and Glitter sets. Each $29.50 set contains five jars of Pigment and Glitter. Don’t be put off by the small jars, because there is plenty of product here (a lil’ bit of pigment goes a long way). Buy both sets and your lucky girl will get a good amount of product, 10 colors to work with, and two pretty keepsake containers to store them in.

Still rocking it out at the club? You need your wing-woman to look as cute as you, so give your best clubbing buddy the Softsparkle Eye Pencils ($29.50), which are perfect for your late nights on the town together. The five pencils are all wrapped up in cute Curiositease packaging. Just put a bow on top and then give that bad boy to her!

I Don’t Shop at Wet Seal Anymore, Yo

I like these sets but don’t love them as much as the Curiositease Lipglass and Lustreglass sets. My biggest issue is that it’s too sparkle motion for my 32-year old ass. I’m bitter, I don’t wear midriff-bearing shirts and I have not purchased anything from Wet Seal since the 90s. Glitter in large doses does not speak to my soul. (I’m just kidding about the bitter part. Kind of.)

Anyway, if you’re thinking about purchasing one of the sets for yourself then I’d recommend the Cool Pigment and Glitter set. The colors were the most exciting and vibrant, especially Forest Green and Naval Blue.

Today is a WONDERFUL FRIDAY! It’s my first day off in two weeks, no joke. I spent the day writing, relaxing, and I even had the chance to go to yoga class, hooray! I really do hope that on this gorgeous afternoon you get the chance to go out, soak up some sun and work what your momma gave you.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

How did you like the Softsparkle pencils? I didn’t even bother swatching them since I’ve seen them when they originally came out. They were a bit gritty when I had them.

  2. Karen says:

HOW WEIRD! I just emailed you about this pressing issue!!!!

    *spooky makeup moment!*

  3. nilla cookie says:

Holy Sparkles Batman – Lily White is blinding me! They’re pretty, but way too bold for me :)

  4. Karen says:

yeah, that’s cause i put a lot on by accident. i am very clumsy when it comes to the pigments.

  5. Thank u for ur wonderful words on my blog, and as always ur swatches r gorgeous:) Thank you:)

  6. Karen says:

i’ve been following your blog for some time now. just wanted to drop in and say i enjoy reading! the ironic part is, i don’t use make up much. well, keep up the cool writing! cheers

  8. Karen says:

HI Delphynus! I’m glad you popped in to say “Hi”! I always like meeting readers and getting to know them. And WOOT, thanks for your nice comments on the writing. Tis my favorite part of it all. :)

    Have a nice weekend!

Let me just say I cannot wait till November 15 to come! I am looking forward to the COOL pigments! Naval Blue looks so gorgeous! Great swatches! You don’t look 32! :)

  10. Karen says:

lol, thanks Vanessa. You just made my DAY!

  11. kia says:

i have the same picks…cool pigments, but i however want the glitter pencils. i was just talking on a forum about how i’m supposedly ‘warm toned’ but i love cool colors =/ oh well! LOL

  12. Erusa says:

    Oh Godness!!
I NEED the cold pigment set!!! Plus de 5 plushglash one!!
And the bad thing is that I’ll have to wait like almost two months for them to come out. Oh, or maybe I can pay a quite higher price purchasing them on ebay.
By the way, I’ve bought the Metallic Eyes Palette ^-^, I’m waiting for it to reach my home (Kinda hating living here >:( )

  13. Karen says:

OH OH! You will love Metallic Eyes. I will put up swatches in a few days…stay tuned.

And the cold pigment set does have some great colors. You’ll have so much fun with that one too. I really need to explore the world of pigments more, it’s just that I’m so messy and often it gets all over the place!

  14. Karen says:

I have that issue too, Kia. Maybe you’re more a “netural”? I feel like I can wear both cool and warm, too.

  15. AppleDiva says:

I don’t like the holiday stuff b.c I have most colors already. The stylistics and beauty powders look intriguing!!!
