With its classic summer colors, LORAC’s GLOgetter eye shadow palette was probably meant for fun-filled beach boardwalks, fair food and cruising down the coast with the windows rolled down…but I feel like a beauty bandit when I think of the price — only $20! — like I should be wearing black from head to toe and a mask like a cat burglar.
I can’t believe this 10-pan limited edition palette is only $20 at Ulta. At that price, it’s almost like stealing!
These easy-to-blend powder shadows are consumate summer colors — the kind that look great with a tan — and when I wear them with primer, they last from 8-10 hours on my dry lids before I notice much creasing. No fallout, either.
I bet you could totally Beyoncé it out with these and bang out some intense looks with loads of blending and layering, but I really like GLOgetter for simple looks with one or two shades.
I’ll start by lining my water and upper lash lines with black or brown liner. Then I’ll smudge the upper line with the edge of a flat eye shadow brush and, using the same brush, pat one of GLOgetter’s shimmery shades on my lids, before running whatever remains on the brush along my lower lash lines.
At this point, if I have a couple extra minutes and a domed shadow brush on hand, I’ll sweep one of the matte shades into my crease for depth.
The shadows aren’t so pigmented that I have to spend forever and a day blending, so I can whip out a pretty quick look in 5 or 10 minutes.
Of course, that can be both a blessing and a curse. If you crave neon bright eye makeup with full-on saturated shades, you might not adore GLOgetter’s moderately pigmented powders, but I think if you’re looking for a palette to create easy, everyday date/work looks this summer, GLOgetter’s a fan-frickin’-tastic option for one hard-earned Andrew Jackson.
PRICE: $20

Eeeek!!! I literally JUMPED out if my bed just now! There I was laying down with my kindle and decided to glance the site to see if there was anything new or simply re read old posts when I saw that beautiful palette I have been dying to get your thoughts on! Ahh the simple joys of a makeup addicts life 🙂 I got this palettes a few weeks ago and just LOVE it! I’m so happy you do too! Ive really been playing around with the Colorado and I am do happy at how easy they are to work with. I’m also glad they are not bright neon either 🙂 now I hope I’m not jumping ahead of myself but I sure would love to see some looks from you using the brighter Colors like the orange and blues (tried this the other day and it was fab). Anyway thanks for making my Monday even more awesome than it already was 🙂
Karen says
Hi Yelena,
I totally thought of you when I wore this palette last weekend! It is a really beautiful set, and it’s just so easy to use and wear. Which of the shades do you like best? I’m really loving the two on the far left, as well as the bright teal.
Yelena says
sorry for all the typos in my last post haha. gotta love the kindle. I did not play with Colorado, I was playing with the COLORS:) haha. I really like the orange color, I would never have otherwise tried a color like this but it really brightens up my face with just a wash on the lids and a dark brown liner. The other day I used the orange on my lids and the periwinkle/blue color as liner and I got a lot of compliments. I am really liking those colors because I would have never thought to try those b4. Ah yes I can see why you like the first 2, they are very nice colors that can be worn everyday and to the office. I also love the green duochrome (second to last from right). its lovely without being too bright. Also wore this alone on my lids with black liner and I felt fabulous 🙂
you are so right, these don’t require a lot of pairings just one or two colors and off you go with a fab eye look 🙂

$20??? Seriously? MAN you guys are SO LUCKY. I hope this is there next week when I go to California!
Karen says
Hi Tracy,
Oh cool! Where in California are you going?
Lancy says
The shades look super adorable Karen 🙂 Awesome swatches and you look so radiant today!
Karen says
Thanks, Lancy. Are you a fan of LORAC?
Gowthami says
the shades are fresh and hott 🙂
Karen says
Yup!

I am kind of on the fence with this palette. It looks gorgeous and the colors are beautiful but I feel like they are not very pigmented. I still use it but I am not in love with it as much as I was before I bought it.
Karen says
Hi Agata,
It really depends on what you’re looking for, I think. I like the medium levels of pigment when I’m in a hurry, because then I don’t have to spend a lot of time blending. And sometimes I just don’t want to look like I’m wearing a ton of eyeshadow.
Kim says
Lorac shadows with no fallout? Can it be? 😉 This does look like a great summer palette and seems very versatile. And, you’re right, it’s quite a bargain at $20.
Happy Tuesday! Did you end up seeing Star Trek?
Kim says
Sorry, scratch that question. I should have read the Monday poll first. 🙂 One of my boys cried when Kirk died and I had to explain that they would never kill Capt Kirk – that McCoy would inject him with Khan’s blood, just like he did with the tribble, and he’d come back to live. Poor, little bird. It’s a good thing that Star Trek isn’t like Game of Thrones! 🙂
Karen says
Hi Kim,
Yeah, these seem to stick to the skin really well. It’s night and day from another palette that I’m about to review.
And I still can’t believe it’s just $20!
How sweet is your little one, aww. I think El Hub might’ve teared up too. 🙂
“KHHHHHANNNN!”
Charisma says
Love the mix of coolant warm colors! Perfect for summer!
Karen says
Hi Charisma,
Yes! The perfect summer palette.
Amber says
I love LORAC, but I thought this palette wasn’t all that wearable when I saw it. Now, looking at your swatches….I wish I’d given it a try! What a great deal too.
Karen says
Hi Amber,
It’s still around so you can give it a go next time you go to Ulta. 🙂
Kelly says
First off… $20 bucks?!?! Crazy amazing deal! I really wish I lived in the States cuz this would be MINE! I love the soft brighter shades in the palette.. so perfect for summer
Karen says
Hi Kelly,
I know, right? The pans are a good size, too. There’s lots to love about this palette.
Danielle says
This is really tempting…
Karen says
Yes! It’s a great deal.
Chelsea says
I’m obsessed with LORAC eyeshadows. These colors aren’t for me, but their quality is great. I just bought their eye primer during Beauty.com’s friends and family sale, it’s quite good!
Karen says
LORAC makes some of my faves for medium pigmentation, although sometimes I’ve noticed that the palettes tend to be more powdery than the singles. Do you use the palettes or the shadows in the pot?
Chelsea says
I own a couple of their palettes, I’ve not tried the singles!
Krystle(Baking Beauty) says
I’m not sure I’d enjoy the blues/greens in this, but for only $20 bucks I wouldn’t feel wasteful using just some of the shades!
Karen says
Yup, $20 is such a great deal, right?
kristen @ glambunctious says
This palette is awesome!! $20 is such a great deal and you can do so much with these shadows!
Karen says
Definitely. A fun summer palette at such a great price!

I. Have. To. Have. This!
I’m a Huge fan of Lorac! While all my girlfriends still think that MAC & Urban Decay is the newest hottest thing, I pull out my Lorac pro palette, blush & 3D glimmer shimmer. I’m a huge fan on teals. I usually do a neutral brown eye & on the outer half of my lower lash line I’ll do a pop of color with teal, purple turquoise, or blue. So this looks Perfect for what I’ve been doing this season. No fallout too? Your kidding, right? And best of all, $20!! How can anyone pass this up? I’m getting my little tush to Ulta quick fast & in a hurry! Thanks for the review. This is my 1st time at your blog & I really like it 🙂
