Bow Down!
I’m not one who usually falls for product hype but damn, Lancome Bi-Facil is good. I’m talking fresh brownies, extra sleep and Christian Bale in a tuxedo good. So good that peasants gotta bow down and shake before the mighty baby blue bottle! So good that … Okay, okay. You get the picture.
Fear Bi-Facil’s wrath
WOOT-A-RAMA!
I picked up a bottle of Bi-Facil on a whim when I popped by the Lancome counter in Union Square to see my favorite Lancome artist, Erin, who is not only a sweet person, but also a fierce brow shaper. Yes, it killed me a bit to throw down the $24.00, but this stuff works, and you barely have to use any of it, just a few drops, to remove even waterproof mascara.
It doesn’t leave me with overly slimy lids like Almay pads. No cloudy vision, either, which was the alarming side effect of Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover.
Even the toughest of eye makeup challenges — Fluidline, MAX Factor 2000 Calorie Waterproof Mascara, MAC Paints — slips off easily. No tugging, no sliminess, nada. I give Bi-Facil a few good shakes, put three drops on a cotton pad and then whoomp, there it is, two buck naked eyelids in a few swipes.
I know the $24.00 price tag is a bit tough to swallow, but, because you only need to use a few drops, a bottle should last a while. I wear eye makeup every day and guess that one bottle will last me between four and six months, which breaks down to about $4-$6 per month.
I like it so much and think it could even replace my former holy grail eye makeup remover, Sephora FACE. This might be true love!
Speaking o’ lurve
Have you seen Enchanted, the new Disney movie with Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams? I was feeling pretty junk this weekend, but seeing Enchanted lifted my spirit. Now I feel so much better. You can’t go wrong with Disney. It’s a live-action, romantic comedy musical that plays on the Disney princess theme. Just so funny and sweet.
Team McDreamy!
I can’t wait to add it to my cheesy movie list (Brown Sugar, Knotting Hill, My Best Friend’s Wedding) once it comes out on DVD. If you’re in the mood for a happy, curl-up-on-the-couch-on-a-rainy-day kinda movie, check it out.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Have u tried removing LLLs with Bi-Facil?
Karen says
Hi I love MAC,
I haven’t, yet. I will try when I get home from work and give you an update. 🙂
BTW, have you ever used Chanel Teint Innocence compact foundation?
makeuplovesme says
i saw enchanted with my mom over thanksgiving and it was soooo amazing!!! i loooved it. haha. have a great week!
Karen says
Hi Marina,
Wasn’t it cute? It’s totally a fun mom and daughter movie.
You have a good week too! 🙂
Tootsie says
I plan to take the kids to see Enchanted this Sunday. I’m happy to hear that it’s good because “Bee Movie” totally sucked ass.
Apple Diva says
Yo what about “The Best Man”? You need to add to list, if you do not already have the DVD.
Can I borrow your stand mixer? LOL
Karen says
Hi Tootsie,
I had noooo desire to watch Bee Movie because it looked pretty terrible. I think you’ll enjoy Enchanted though, even though your kiddies might go “ewwww!” when there’s kissing on screen (no tongue, I assure you.)
Karen says
Of course, AppleDiva! But you have to use it to make me something yummy to eat!
Funny that you should bring up kitchen appliances. My mom asked me today for my Christmas list and one of the three things on there was a CROCK POT. You know you must be getting older if you ask Santa for a CROCK POT, lol.
I have “The Best Man” on DVD!

Bummer. I just turned down a gift offer at the Lancome counter this weekend – the gift included this product. (And by “gift” I mean, if you spend an extra 25 bucks for many products that you’ll never use except maybe two). I regret my decision now that I’ve read your review and have had a few days with my new MAC mascara. My Body Shop eye makeup remover just isn’t cutting it.
I LOVE that you asked for a crock pot for Christmas!!! I asked and received a vacuum cleaner for my 21st birthday. If this tells you what a rebel I was in my college days… HA!

Hi, I love MAC!
My friend uses long-lasting lipsticks every day (MAC Pro-Longwear and Chanel Ultra Wear), and she swears that Bi-Facil is the only makeup remover that takes them off easily!
I don’t usually use makeup removers because I find that my cleanser (Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple) seems to do a fine job, even with most waterproof mascaras. I do have a small bottle from a Lancome GWP that I keep around for emergencies or eye makeup mistakes! It’s pretty awesome! I’ll probably buy a full-size bottle when I eventually try out the Prescriptives Here to Stay mascara! 🙂
Karen, have you tried out the Teint Innocence yet?
Divine Blackness says
Ahhhh, so this is good stuff, eh? My Mother Dearest swears by this has her HG of make-up removers. But I have never tried it. Guess I’ll be dippin’ into her haul when I make it back home for the holidays. That movie looks too cute!! I guess I could go see it. I’m the biggest fan of Disney princess movies. Have a fab upcoming week!
Karen says
Hi Tuprnut!
That’s cute that you asked for a vacuum for your 21st b-day. Do you still have it around?
I can’t wait to get that crock pot into my life. It’s supposed to be lazy person’s cooking to the nth degree…yes!
Karen says
Glosslizard, I’ve only tried the liquid version, which I like but don’t love. Every time I’ve tried going to the mall traffic’s been really bad so I’ve yet to experience the miracle 🙂
Karen says
I warn ya, Divine Blackness, you will fall in love with this remover. I just wish it was cheaper!
You have a good week too! 🙂
Apple Diva says
Yay, you have “The Best Man” on the DVD. I have the CD, which I think is excellente!!
Do I need to wear a disguise when I go to see “Enchanted” or should I take my cousin’s kids? 🙂
I♥M·A·C says
Hey Karen,
No I haven’t tried Chanel Teint Innocence Compact Foundation, I love M.A.C Hyper Real + M.A.C Studio Fix too much….:P
I♥M·A·C says
Hey Glosslizard,
Thanks on the update, I will def go and pick up Lancome’s Bi-Facil, this weekend, I need some retail therapy after the stresses of my finals this and next week :(:(:(
TUPRNUT says
Karen – Yup, I still have my trusty Hoover! Now my 20-month old daughter is fascinated by it and follows me all around as I vacuum the house. Sheer cuteness.
Karen says
Hi AppleDiva,
No, you don’t have to bring the kiddies as a front! It would be a really cute date movie with the boy, though!
Oh! Guess what! We finally got Leopard for our home computers. My hub hasn’t installed it yet but I am looking forward to it. 🙂
Karen says
Hey I Love MAC,
**Good luck** on all of your tests! Don’t worry, the end will come soon enough and you’ll be able to relax.
I’m sending good study vibes your way!
Karen says
That’s so cute, Tuprnut! I love babies who are that age. Their personalities really show and they are fun and interactive. Plus, you can put them in such cute outfits (with matching accessories, of course).

I bought this on a whim a couple of weeks ago when lancome.com has 20%off+ free s/h. I was using cleansing oils and was very satisfied. My only problem is it’s not made for the eyes, and it almost always gets into my eyes. Then I thought my eyes is worth $20+. That didn’t stop me from having buyer’s remorse, but thanks to your review, I see it’s definitely worth it.
Mrs. Lynne says
Yay! Thanks for doing the homework, hah. I definitely need a new makeup remover with the least amount of tugging as possible. And taking off fluidline, especially with as close as it gets to the lashline, without having to rub the heck out of my eye.
Karen says
You barely have to rub with this product, Mrs. Lynne. It’s great with Fluidline, Paint Pots, everything! 🙂
Karen says
Maya,
Thanks for your comment! You bring up a good point that I’ll totally think about every time I buy this product in the future … they are my eyes, and they are worth 26 bucks!
Have a good weekend. 🙂
Mrs. Lynne says
I’m soooo on it!
Justina says
Hey Karen!
I use this eye makeup remover too, it’s the best at taking off waterproof mascara and not irritating my eyes. I found one that’s just as good recently, though. Have you tried Lumene’s Eye Makeup Remover? It’s only $6 a bottle, about the same height as Lancome’s but skinnier. Make sure you get the waterproof formula though, I don’t think the other one works as well. I think the waterproof formula is similar/the same as this one; it has the same two seperate liquids on the top and bottom, and you shake before using. I’ve been using it for about a month and it’s never irritated my eyes, plus it takes everything off just as well as Lancome. You should give it a try when you run out of Bi-Facil.
