Quick, name one hip hop song in which Timbaland does NOT appear as a guest artist.
Takes a minute, doesn’t it? 🙂 The guy is everywhere! He’s like a hip hop virus. I had my iTunes on random yesterday, and I swear the man was uttering nonsense in every other song. “Uh huh, uh uh,” “freaky-freaky-freaky!”
But no matter how many times he’s been featured in songs — and I’m fairly sure it’s in the hundreds — I bet I have him beat hands down in one area: hand washing. Because I like to wash my hands. A lot.
This also means my hands get dry. A lot (often?).
It’s worse in the colder months, which means hand creams? — totally my BFFs. Lately I’ve been getting my moisture on with these travel-friendly 2-oz. tubes of Hand and Nail Cream from H2O Plus.
The Trio shown at the top costs $15 and comes with three of their lightly scented creams, each one designed to soften and condition dry hands. I keep the one called Spa (smells like lemons) in my purse, Milk (honey) on my nightstand and Bath (freesia) on my desk.
My skin absorbs these quickly and feels hydrated after using ’em. They leave my paws feeling (and looking, with fewer cracks and irritated red patches) refreshed but not greasy. Too bad H2O left out the SPF, though, because that would’ve these straight to the next level.
Got any frequent hand washers in your life? Maybe these could be stocking stuffers. Three for $15 sounds like a pretty good deal. Better than staring at his/her dry alligator skin all winter long, LOL! They’re the gift that keeps on giving.
PRICE: $15

“Carry out” and “The way I are” are a couple off the top of my head that are actual Timbaland songs that feature guest singers, but I have never heard one where he’s the solo act. Remember way back in the 90’s(!) when he was part of a duo called “Timbaland and Magoo” and they had one hit that I can’t remember the name but I can totally hear the hook in my head. Ok, rambling much:)
Anyway, I do wash my hands a lot at work because of what I do, so there’s always a tube of hand cream near. I didn’t even know H2O+ was still around, I remember a bunch of stores going out of business a few years ago. Maybe I’ll check it out online.
Karen says
They’re a little harder to find these days, but the line is still around! 🙂
Have you ever tried their products before? Let me know if you need any recs.

i wash my hands a lot and i have this problem in the winter. one winter, i randomly got exzema (at least thats what i hope it was and that’s what the derm said it was). never had it before, havent had it since but i blame my excessive hand washing.
Karen says
Hi AshBash,
Oh no. Did you have to take meds to get rid of the exzema?
Ithfifi says
Ah I had dry hands! :c I don’t normally suffer too bad as I am always rubbing lotions in here and there etc which give them the benefit too. I’d be interested in getting this though, my nails are never at their best anymore. Loving the idea of getting my sister this for christmas!!
Karen says
Hi Ithfifi,
Aren’t you going to be seeing your sweetie soon? Are you all packed?
Ithfifi says
Hey Karen 🙂 I leave on Friday and will be staying at his til Monday; So nervous but even more excited! 😀 Not packed yet… I’m terrible when it comes to packing! I’ll probably pack enough for a month! 😀
Karen says
I’m so happy and excited for you! I hope your trip goes smoothly and that you get along famously with his family.
Oh yeah — save some room in that suitcase for a gift for his mom. 🙂 If you don’t have room try to buy some flowers before you meet her for the first time. It’s a nice gesture that will earn you some brownie points!
Nina says
I am a frequent hand washer =) Being the obsessive compulsive person that I am, sometimes it drives me crazy because I get dry and itchy hands at the end of the day. But my BFF hand lotions are Nivea and Neutrogena in summer (because of SPF). Though I skipped lotioning for two weeks and now I have several fine lines on my hands -.-
Nina says
i think ill buy this for the hubs as a stocking stuffer. he is always filching from my lotions!
Kim says
I’ve tried H2O shower products before, but not the lotions. I liked them. 🙂 I totally dry out in the winter too. I’m not too keen on the “milk” personal care products, though. I’m not sure why, but it gives me the creeps. And goat’s milk? Don’t even go there. 🙂
Karen says
LOL… what is it about people and goat’s milk? My best guy friend gets freaked out by it too! I don’t quite get it.
Goat eyes, though, are another story.
Kim says
I don’t know! I think I just associate it with “you leave milk out and it gets sour”, so having a milk film on my skin gives me the heebie jeebies! It really makes no sense, but thank you for letting me know I’m not alone. 🙂
I’ll have to investigate the goat eyes. Do you think there’s something to the Cake song “Sheep go to Heaven”? 🙂
Appu says
I love the Spa hand cream by h2o plus. It smells really nice and the best part, no fingerprints on the keyboard! 🙂 Love that!
Karen says
Hi Appu,
Yes, that’s a huge plus! 🙂
Michelle @ Fresh Radiant Skin says
OK so how about I can’t name a song that Timbaland is a guest on! Just goes to show how much I listen to hip hop.
$15 is a generous price for what the product claims to do I’m wondering. Do they contain any parabens or propylene glycol?
Karen says
Hi Michelle,
Spa, Bath and Milk all contain different ingredients. Is there a list you’re particularly interested in seeing?
Michelle @ Fresh Radiant Skin says
Hi Karen-
Not specifically. Just in general. A lot of cosmetics contain so many hidden ingredients. I’m not an all or nothing gal where it has to be all natural or nothing. Some synthetic preservatives are safe. Propylene glycol is just not one I like to mess with!

Christy says
I would like to try these but I always get free bath and body works hand creams (right now the one in my purse is Twilight Woods) from coupons and use those! $15 for the trio isn’t too bad though as if I were to individually buy the B&B hand cream it would be $10.
Karen says
Hi Christy,
Yeah, $15 is really quite good for three tubes! And these are pretty big. 🙂
How are you liking Twilight Woods?
gio says
I was my hands a lot and in winter they are all dry and itchy so a good hand cream is a must for me. This sounds sounds lovely.
Karen says
Hi Gio,
It’s really quite nice. Is the H2O Plus line available in your country?
Vonvon says
I am a frequent hand washer too, to the point of OCD sometimes.
I use Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapies normally. And Neutrogena hand cream in winter months. One good hand cream with SPf15 is Boots No.7…love it. Nice smell, and absorbs quickly.
Karen says
Hi Vonvon,
I’m a recent Boots convert! I’ll have to get my mitts on that cream, for sure. 🙂
Trisha says
Timbaland is awesome. I like the songs on his own albums that he does with other people. Like the one with Katy Perry. That song is great.
Karen says
Hi Trisha,
Ya know, I don’t think I know that one. What’s the name of it?
Trisha says
It’s called “If We Ever Meet Again.” It’s a really sweet and positive song. It makes me happy. Totally check it out on YouTube.
Steffi says
My hands get AWFUL in the winter. Haven’t tried this, but The Body Shop’s Almond Oil hand cream is my bff. I have to buy more too.bleh.
Karen says
Hi Steffi,
That sounds like it smells delicious. Since it’s an oil, is it very greasy? Inquiring minds wanna know!
Vicki says
I have tried TONS of hand creams over the years, and I hate it when they leave your hands feeling sticky, or you feel like they did nothing and you need to reapply 5 minutes later.
So after much research, my top hand creams are Body Shop’s Vitamin E and Soap and Glory’s Hand Food. Both make your hands feel lovely!
Karen says
Hi Vicki,
Thanks for the recs. I live near a Target (five minutes a way!) so I’ll see if I can find that Soap & Glory cream.
Tiffany H says
I need this in my life!
Karen says
You do, especially if you’re addicted to hand washing.
The Budget Socialite says
I’m a Cetaphil girl, do you like this better?
Karen says
I like Cetaphil a little more for the price, but these are less greasy which earns BIG points in my book.
