Alright, that’s it! I give up. I’m done waiting for Target to restock my favorite E.L.F. Nail Polish Remover Pads. Done!
Sure, they’re awesome and only $1 for a pack of 18, but what good is that when they’re hardly ever in stock? Seriously, I must check my local Target at least once or twice a week.
I wonder if a fellow nail enthusiast is stockpiling them… Heck, that’s what I’d do. 🙂
Oh, well. On the bright side, I think I found an alternative that 1) I like even more and 2) can usually find at Sephora.
A 2-ounce bottle of Sephora by OPI Nail Colour Remover costs five times as much as E.L.F.’s secretive pads, but that’s still only $5 (or $9 for a bigger 4-ounce bottle), which isn’t bad, especially considering how well I think it works.
It cuts through layers of lacquer like a hot knife through butter! — and it works without drying out my cuticles or nails, thanks to moisturizing grape seed oil, vitamin E, sea kelp and aloe.
With a cotton ball/pad soaked with five drops, I can usually get through four nails with up to three layers of polish each and a base and top coat. Glitters take a few more drops, of course, but even so, that’s still more efficient than E.L.F.’s awesome pads.
PRICE: $5 for a 2-ounce bottle (a larger 4-ounce bottle is also available for $9)
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Sephora stores and sephora.com

An Olympic mani with Rococo Nail Apparel’s Rock & Royal Kit
I’m so glad I found this remover! It’s perfect timing, too, because I’ve been going through a paw-painting phase where I change my polish every few days.
Oh, so many colors, so little time…
In fact, I just removed Bobbi Brown’s Bobbi Turquoise from the Desert Twilight collection, and now I’m trying to decide among the red, white and blue (or maybe all three?) shades from the Rococo Nail Apparel’s Rock & Royal kit ($36 for the kit, or $16.50 each), a limited edition kit for summer 2012.
I want to be wearing cute nails for the Olympics opening ceremony. 🙂

Have you tried anything from the Rococo Nail Apparel line? I’m impressed by the super smooth formula, and I love the wide brush. It’s practically big enough to cover one of my nails in a single swipe!
If you’re interested in a closer look, you can find the line at Space NK stores and online at spacenk.com.
Tabs keeps pushing me to wear all three colors at once (he’s not a big proponent of the phrase, “less is more”).
I don’t know, though… I’m kinda leaning toward the metallic blue one tonight.

This must be REALLY amazing stuff because I’ve been hearing rave reviews about it EVERYWHERE–and how often do people really rave about nail polish removers?!

I just tend to just grab whatever at the drugstore. I want to get it just because I am curious. Maybe I am missing out on greatness of good nail polish remover. Lol

Have you tried Sephora’s Instant Nail Polish Remover? The one where you stick your finger in a sponge? That thing takes off polish in one second I swear. It’s amazing!
I really like that metallic blue shade! So pretty!

V.I.P. is gorgeous but the blue one is nice as well! I don’t think I’ve tried OPI yet but they seem like they have some fun lacquers!

Since I discovered instant removers where you dip your fingers in a sponge soaked in polish remover, I’ve never bought bottled remover again! Well, I need it for my toes, but then the bottle lasts forever.
Sephora makes one of these instant removers, but you can find better deals at the drugstore.

I love Zoya nail polish remover. It’s $10 a bottle but a little goes a long way and it works great, you should try it if you haven’t. I like the blue nail polish. I wanted to paint my nails cute for the Olympics too but I ran out of time. I spent half of my day at an eye doctor and picking up my new glasses.

I tried this Bourjois 1 second nail polish remover pot, last weekend and it was great, no pads, just dip your nail and swish around aginst the foam, I was really skeptical but it actually worked and left my nail not dried out! I was using it on OPI base, 2 x OPI coats and a top coat so took about 5 seconds 🙂

I have use the original OPI nail polish remover before, though it is a tad expensive at $20 for a bottle, it removes any type of polish effortlessly. This includes glitter, metallics and similar finishes. I am assuming that Sephora OPI remover is the same?

I LOVE the nail polishes!
And yep – I bought this nail laquer remover to make free shipping over at sephora.com one time, and I was surprised at how much I loved it! It isnt harsh at all and takes the polish off quickly!
