Kerastase Lift Vertige Root Uplifting Gel

**WARNING** Bathroom Alert! **WARNING**

You may find yourself so moved by the lovely lift in yo’ hair after using Kerastase’s Lift Vertige Root-Uplifting Gel that you suddenly break into dance in the middle of your bathroom while singing “La cucaracha! La cucaracha!” and shaking the bottle and your round brush like a pair of maracas.

Kerastase Lift Vertige

It happens.

Seriously, Kerastase, you’re doing it right. My hair is overdue for a trim (and, thus, really heavy), but somehow, some way, your Lift Vertige still manages to pump up the volume at the roots.

Kerastase Lift Vertige

The gel formula elevates roots without a “cardboard” feel for volume right at the crown.

  • Provides volume and lift at the roots
  • Long-lasting root support
  • Enhances shine
  • Provides UV and heat protection

After shampooing and conditioning, I work a few pumps of Lift Vertige, which smells faintly of jasmine, into my hair while it’s wet from the roots to the mid-shaft.

Then I gently tousle my hair until it’s about 80% dry using my fingers and a blowdryer, at which point I grab a round brush, and blow out the sides, back and top sections.

When I’m done, my ‘do has lots of lift at the crown but still feels soft and flexible.

As for that lift? — it can last for days. Using just dry shampoo to extend the life of my blowout, I get about three days of lift out of it before my roots start losing steam.

That’s pretty great, considering how heavy my hair is at the moment… I’m counting down the days till my next trip to the salon.

You can find Lift Vertige lifting sad roots all across the lands at salons and also online.

Karen

A little pricey but it probably lasts a long time. Your hair looks fabulous though!

Thanks for reviewing this! I am all about volume, so I will need to try this asap. I have hair that is fine in texture and I’ve found that using a powder texturizer at the roots also helps provide some extra lift.

You’re welcome, Ruchita. You might also like Spray a Porter by Kerastase as well. It’s for beachy waves, and it gives me great lift and hold without crunchiness.

How have you been? And how are the kitties?

      • Ruchita says:

Thanks for the rec on the other product! My hair actually has some natural wave to it, so I like the idea of waves without crunchiness. :-)

I’ve been good and the kitties are as spoiled as ever. :-) Mingy is loving the warmer weather wants to roll around in the dirt every time I let him out!

You’re welcome. I’ve been using (and loving) Spray a Porter for a while now…so much so that I had to get a small travel-size bottle to take with me on trips. :)

I’m so glad the weather is warming up there and that the kitties are having fun outside. Are they (and you) enjoying your new place? I bet you’ve got everything fixed up now!

          • Ruchita says:

Yep, everyone is enjoying the new house! The kitties love the extra space. Nina and Mingy take full advantage of it by running around during the early morning hours. :-) We also have plans to get a deck built this summer, so I’m excited about that.

Is Tabs enjoying the spring weather? I bet he loves bird watching this time of year!

          • Karen says:

Oh, how fun! When you guys get the deck up I highly recommend doing some deck gardening. It’s so much fun to see your plants getting bigger and bigger. The other day I was out there and saw the first few peppers and tomatoes. I seriously can’t wait to eat them! Oh, and of course Tabs enjoys his pots of catnip.

Funny that you should mention birds…we have a finch family living with us on the upper deck right outside of our bedroom. They wake us up early in the morning, but I don’t mind at all. Tabs is REALLY OBSESSED with that corner, though, and is hell bent on getting to that nest. He sits by the plants and stares up at the corner (the deck with the nest is directly over our our main deck with the plants where we hang out), plotting. He’s not exactly a rocket scientist so I’m not too worried, LOL. Plus there’s no way for him to get up there.

            How’s Ella doing these days?

          • Ruchita says:

Nothing beats home grown tomatoes! We’ve had them in the past and I’m hoping we can get some plants once they finish our yard and deck. We still don’t have any grass or landscaping yet. Fresh catnip is awesome and is pretty hardy, even for cold Ohio weather.

That is too funny about Tabs and the birds! I can imagine a little thought bubble above his head as he thinks of different ways to get up there.

Ella’s doing well, although I noticed a couple of times lately where she’s been limping. It’s not all the time and otherwise she’s fine, but I’m keeping an eye on her. We get a lot of sun in our living room and I can usually find her napping in a sunny spot. :-)

          • Karen says:

You know what’s really, really great? Home grown tomatoes combined with home grown basil. I have one basil plant doing really well right now. I’ve tried to plant two purple basils but they just don’t want to take. I think that’s a sign from the gardening gods.

You’ll have to send me pics of your yard once you get the garden growing. Of course Mingy will have to be in them (OF COURSE).

LOL re Tabs…He’s tried climbing up the sides of tables and has even jumped on the ledge a couple times, which he’s not supposed to do (BAD TABBY). We really have to watch him on the deck now, ’cause those birds are driving him crazy!

I hope Ella’s ok. Is she a jumper? Perhaps she tried to leap up to something and didn’t quite make it. We don’t have to worry about that with Tabs, since he’s a ground-dwelling sort of cat.

          • Ruchita says:

Home grown tomatoes and basil sounds awesome! I’ll make sure to take plenty of pics when our yard looks better. I hope Tabs see stays out of trouble. I know those birds drive Mingy and Nina crazy!

Ella is not much of a jumper. She’s older and has some extra fluff (fat) so she mostly sticks to the ground too. Sometimes the other two will chase after her so it might have been from running around. Thanks for the suggestion, b/c I immediately thought of the worst case scenario. Makes more sense that it might be something temporary!

          • Karen says:

Aww, you know I’m all about the kitteh fluff. TEAM BELLEH! How old is Ella now?

          • Ruchita says:

Ella was another stray, so we’re not sure how old she is. The vet said she’s in the adult to senior adult category. She’s definitely not as spry as Mingy and Nina. :-)

Some friends of ours found her hanging out near a dumpster behind a restaurant and took her in. She was already spayed and de-clawed, so she was someone’s pet, but they weren’t able to find the owners. They weren’t able to keep her so she became our second cat!
