Megan, you are such a great sister! I wish my brother would buy me some makeup! He “allegedly” tried to get me some MAC last year, hmmm….I think he just didn’t want to go up to the counter and have all the MUA’s pawn over his silky, black hair (he has really long hair and gets a lot of attention from the ladies ’cause of it.)

Anyway, that’s great that you got your moms some 2000 calorie! What does she think of it? L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black is another good one to try too, if she’s not crazy about it.

And yes, I *do* try to convert my mom. In fact, when she and my dad came by last Friday for dinner I sent her away with a ton of products including two lipsticks in natural tones. She is kinda stuck in the 90′s and likes dark, matte shades so I’m trying to expand her lipstick range. I don’t think I’m very successful though. I always tell her to actually USE the products, because otherwise she just keeps them on a display shelf in the bathroom because she thinks they look pretty.

Clinique has some AWESOME stuff lined up for Holiday. Stay tuned – I have a few great Clinique centered posts lined up in November.

BTW, didja find any cute purses? I’m looking for one for myself right now for work!

I was so good at the clinique counter… but in my mind I’ve already gone back later this month… My sister’s birthday is this weekend and I, being the awesome sister I am, bought her an great present…therefore I got moisturizer, cleanser and one eyeliner…which is not splurging at all…those things are necessities. They have some really nice colors for the holidays and during my perusing I also checked out some awesome purses… hmmm… I definately wish I was and heiress or otherwise…but for now…I’m waiting another week until my next paycheck…and then I’ll make up for it. The funny thing…my family/friends et al. all hate getting my cosmetics for holidays… my mom says that my taste is always so expensive and she hates just having a few small boxes… BY THE WAY…do you try to convert your mom? Mine’s not much for makeup…and I’ve been buying her make up and skin care for like the past few years…she really loves it…but she’s still not into it…I got her like most of the bare escentuals line last Christmas and she refers to it as her “special occasion make up.” Oh and I bought her some Max Factor 2000 calorie mascara after you recommended it… Which she has been using.

Nah, I haven’t purchased it…I need new boots and some new winter sweaters first. I made the mistake of washing a lot of mine in the washer last year and most of them shrunk. It’s so not cute!

OHHH that’s a good question for your blog.

On my wishlist so far:

1 million dollars
complete self awareness
a striped tabby cat and/or a pony

but realistically I know I won’t get any of these anytime soon. Until then there’s:

- either Chanel palette
- a few MAC brushes for eye detailing
- warm pajamas
- a new Sonicare toothbrush
