“You better head outta town, Outlaw. Marshall Tabs come lookin’ for ya!”
If you NARS Amour or Taos Blush as much as I do, I reckon you’d do just about anything to get your hands on this Outlaw.
The first time I set eyes on a pan of new NARS Outlaw Blush ($28, from the NARS fall 2012 collection), I thought, “What in tarnation?! Is that Taos kinfolk?” but it actually applies like a rosier golden version of Amour instead.
Because this rose with its golden shimmer packs so much pigment, I’ve been using a fan brush to apply a single layer; the fan brush deposits less product per layer than a regular blush brush does.
A skunk brush would probably also be a good choice.
NARS blush swatches from the left: Outlaw, Taos and Amour
Outlaw lasts a good, long while on my cheeks. All day long even. And I really think the color looks natural.
Plus, it’s super easy to blend.
Yup, I think I just found a new NARS favorite. 🙂
PRICE: $28
AVAILABILITY: Coming soon to NARS counters, and arriving at narscosmetics.com July 15

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Oh, and I love the way Outlook looks paired with NARS Dolce Vita Lipstick.
P.P.S. Hope you had a nice afternoon. Doing anything fun tonight? I’m not sure what’s on my agenda yet. Probably just some TV and a movie rental…

Wow–love the look of that! I wouldn’t think it would look that pretty and natural on the cheeks (it kinda scared me in the pan because I SO tend to overapply cheek products! :P)–but I guess that’s because of your fan brush technique. I just got a Sonia Kashuk version, so hopefully it works well and I can be unafraid to grab this beautiful, bright blush!

Oh boy, you are giving me some major blush lemmings! First the Bobbi Brow duo one, the Tom Ford and now this! It’s such a pretty shade! I must admit that it looks a bit scary and bright in the pan, but I guess using a light hand helps a lot!

Oh totally! Just keep your fan brush on standby. 🙂

TGIF! What are you doing this weekend? I’m going to clean and putter around the house, and on Saturday I’m going to dinner in SF.

This weekend: I want to take a break and have some serious meow time! Just doing whatever i please and not worrying at all! Of course it may include a trip to Sephora :-D.

It looks a bit scary in the pan and seems a bit too bright and cool-toned for my medium warm skin tone, but you wear it very well and it doesn’t look too bright. So, I’m definitely gonna check this out in person. =)

You could rock this! 🙂

It looks beautiful on you! 🙂 The swatch of it reminds of Deep Throat. Would you say the shimmer particles are pretty obvious when worn?
Karen says
Hi Rachel,
It depends on how much you want to build it up. If you wear it sheer you can barely see the shimmer.

I might have to make this my first NARS blush (blasphemy I know! I don’t yet own a NARS blush)! It’s so fall-appropriate, and looks a lot less intimidating swatched than in pan!

How does it compare to Benefit’s Bella Bamba?

Hi Karen, This blush color is gorgeous!!! You have me tempted me into purchasing it. LOL! My family and I are going to the mall later this afternoon. I hope one of the department stores that sells Nars products already has it.

You are under arrest, Karen! 😀
I love the blush swatch — so perfect for fall!

i love all nars products, the blushers are amazing! sleek make up also has very good ones some of them are quite similar. since they are super pigmented the best thing is to use a soft brush with long bristles like nars yachiyo
