Red’s not one of the first colors I picture when I think, “summer lip shades.”
Well, it didn’t used to be — but that was before I saw Tarte’s new LipSurgence in Spirited ($24), a shiny, bright poppy red that’s like a beach party in a tube, haaay!

Slick and lightweight, Spirited has some of the best traits of both a lipstick and a gloss. It’s moisturizing, non-sticky, lasts about three hours on my lips, and has a faint peppermint flavor and scent that I like.
Tarte, ya did it again.

I haven’t tried any of the LipSurgences yet. This one looks very pretty. Do some of the other colors get better wear time on you?
I seriously considered the one from the True Blood collection and I think it’s only a matter of time before I break down and actually get a lipsurgence. The only thing stopping me is the other 100 lip products I have all over the place! I know… why put up barriers like that?
I have to buy the Lip Tint because of the name. Spirited Away is one of my most favorite Hayao Miyazaki movies ever.

Looks nice on you. I love the subtlety of the bronzer, it doesn’t appear a flat matte but not its loaded with shimmer either!
