Hello, pigment. This is Rose. 🙂
Rose is one of three colors in Sonia Kashuk’s Super Sheer Liquid Tint line ($10; available at Target stores nationwide).
One full pump
Sheer isn’t what first came to mind when I tested Rose on my hand. The color looked rich and vibrant — not exactly fitting the Super Sheer name.
Spread it around!
Initially, Rose applies as a dark rosy pink, but her color fades over time…
All rubbed in
How sheer is it?
Within an hour of applying Rose on my cheeks, the color fades to a sheer, barely noticeable pink. Super sheer, indeed!
A beginner-friendly blush
I like the texture, which feels like a watery lotion (absorbs quickly), and the scent (it smells like fruit punch!).
Great for travel
The bottle fits snugly into the palm of my hand and comes with a pump. Since the color lightens over the course of the day, I’ve had to reapply it every few hour, so I appreciate the convenient size of the bottle and the fact that it comes with a pump.
Natural cheek lovers, this might be your blush
I think if I had run into this blush in my early 20s, when I wore natural cheeks almost every day, Super Sheer’s barely-there color would’ve moved me, but these days I generally prefer more highly pigmented blushes.
Sometimes, though, there are still times when I want an ultra sheer cheek color, and those are times I’ll reach for Super Sheer Liquid Tint.

Spahhhh!
I’ve got one foot on the keyboard and one foot out the door! I’m meeting a couple of friends at the Bliss spa in SF this afternoon to finally put a gift certificate to good use. Yea! I haven’t been to a spa in ages.
I think I might get the Deep Sea Detox treatment. It looks relaxing, and I’ve been hella tense lately.
I’m going to keep my eyes peeled for any cool Bliss products. If I find any, I’ll let you know.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I am glad that you review this…I was quite interested in the shade called poppy (Bright pink, I think) but I am way too lazy to reapply…
I might try Sonia Kashuk powder blush someday though, especially now they got rid of the useless brush.

I’ve been looking at poppy too:) I love that this is supposed to give and “effortless” kind of look, but it doesn’t sound very low maintenance.

I was thinking, “Okay, I’ve gotta try this. Gotta try this….wait, ‘it smells like fruit punch!’ Bahg, nope, can’t try it. If there’s one thing my nose hates more than perfumes it’s fruity smells. Migraine city!”
It’s so pretty too!
I hope you had a fabulous time at the spa!!!

Hi Cassandra,
You’re welcome.

Tabs looks as cute as ever! I picked up this blush in peony yesterday, but I haven’t had a chance to try it yet!

Hi Tiffany,
LOL, his new favorite thing is to jump up on my desk and get up in my grill when I’m working. I think he secretly wants to be a beauty addict. 🙂
Let me know what you think of Peony… and what it smells like! I wonder if it has the same fruit punch scent.

That blush is gorgeous! What are the other colors? I think I might like one in a nice peachy color. OOH! Gotta tell you! My aunt came over yesterday with an ELIZABETH ARDEN eyeshadow palette! It’s SO gorgeous that she let me keep it after I did her makeup (smokey plum eyes, peach cheeks and reddish rose lips). She never used it so it’s in great conditon! All the colors are great: shimmery plummy chocolate (like the dark side of Play on Plums MES), shimmery yellow gold (like MAC’s Bright Future), pale peach with sheen (like a pale Pollinator), matte black with subtle green pearl (Femme Noir), a BEAUTIFUL deep teal (exact dupe for MAC’s coveted Parrot!), and a light taupey cement color (a grey-brown version of Nylon). There’s also a cheek color, which is a highly pigmented peach-pink with gold reflects (a more gold shade of Peachykeen). Everything in the palette is SUPER smooth and extremely pigmented with good wear time. I’m so glad I scored it! 😀

Hi Karen! I just tested out Peony. I was highly annoyed at how many times I had to pump the bottle to get the first bit out! Anyway, I like it – it’s a nice sheer pink. It would probably be great with a pink powder blush layered over it. And it does smell fruity, lol!

Honestly all of Sonia Kashuk’s stuff in the long run get bad reviews or rather dont stand up to mark. Probably you pay for what you get. In the same vein ELF and NYX really do a fab job.
