Some questions and answers reveal more about us than others do, like, do you reach for peach blush BEFORE your first cup of coffee in the morning? Or, does the very thought of a day without peach cheeks make you break out in a cold sweat? If you answered “yes” to either inquiry, hello, friend — my name is Karen, and I’m a fellow peach blush addict enthusiast. 🙂
My newest peach blush crush, the cleverly named Papa Don’t Peach ($20), pays homage to Madge while paying attention to cheeks. It’s one of four powder Brightening Blushes from Too Faced.
Totally easy to use, it kisses cheeks with a soft and shimmery peachy warmth that looks particularly pretty on cheeks attached to half-awake zombie girls early in the morning…
Too Faced has a knack for balancing pigmentation and wearability, and Papa Don’t Peach contains just enough pigmentation to be visible on the cheeks, but not so much that it takes 10 minutes to blend away harsh edges.

Wearing Papa Don’t Peach on mah cheeks!
Lately I’ve taken to wearing it with summery coral, peach or gold lipsticks and glosses, but I feel it’s neutral enough to go with practically any lip or eye shade.
The product’s been a permanent member of the Too Faced line for a while now, so no worries about it going MIA soon. If you’ve been looking for an easy peasy peachy flush, you might want to check it out. Available at Sephora and online at toofaced.com. Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A+

What a pretty color! I have to ask….when you model a product on NW20 skin, who do you borrow? lol
Karen says
LOL, it’s not Tabs…
Vet says
Hi Karen,
Quick question…what’s the difference between this blush and Benefit’s Coralista blush? Which would you recommend?
Karen says
Hi Vet,
See the answer to Lisbeth’s comment below for a swatch comparison. Both are great, but if you want something more pinky-coral, Coralista might be a better fit.
Lizbeth says
Hey Karen how would you compare this to coralista?? I’m curious to see their differences!
Karen says
Hi Lizbeth & Vet,
Here’s a swatch of Papa Don’t Peach (left) with Coralista (right):
Coralista’s a touch lighter and more coral-y pink. HTH!
Lizbeth says
Great! Thanks Karen!
I do need both!!
Karen says
Both are fab colors. You won’t regret ’em!
Lizbeth says
What blush brush do you use for this application?
Karen says
A Sonia Kashuk blush brush!
Vet says
Thank you, yes that helps =]
Nina says
The Madonna reference – SOLD! 😛
Karen says
Wait, are you a child of the 80s too?!
Nina says
Uhhhuhhhh, yes ma’am! 😀
Kelly says
I love that color, I wear it all the time!

It’s great. Have you tried any other blushes from the line?
Kelly says
I haven’t yet but I love the way La Vie en Rose and Pinch My Petals look. I think I would love both of them also 🙂

Karen says
Ooh! I’m gonna check those out next time I’m at Sephora.
Solangel says
Hmm, I have that color, but found that it’s a bit too frosty for me. Any tips on application? I love blush, but suck at application!
Karen says
Hi Solangel,
If you want to tone down the frostiness you could always try a different brush. Fan brushes are great for a light application of color, as are synthetic skunk brushes like the MAC 187:

I am truly loving the name of that blush.

oh my goodness, that shade looks AMAZING on you karen! I’m happy because you have been showing swatches on fair skin and your tan skin, so now I see how fabulous it looks on fair skin 🙂 I will definitley be picking up a box. This shade (and the package, sort of!) inspires me to wear that blush with a retro-floral dress, wedges and 50’s-style-curls. Love it!!!!!
Karen says
It definitely has that vibe to it. I bet you could rock this out, vintage style, with some reddish coral lips and thick cat liner!
gio says
That’s a beautiful shade and I love the name too! 🙂

Cindy (Prime Beauty) says
Loving it! Peach and coral are my go-to blush shades! Your makeup looks so soft and pretty today! The blush and lip shades really suit you!! I just realized I use a lot of exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!!

hey karen,
i have medium/light asian skintone with yellow undertones. do you think that this could maybe even work as a bronzer?
someone told me with asian skintones peach bronzers work best, but i cant find one that doesnt look like dirt one me!
this color is sooo pretty and not dirt-like!!
Karen says
Yeah, I think you’d be able to work it in as a bronzer. I’ve heard Too Faced Bunny is good for lighter skin as well:

Rachel says
Everything looks better on your olive skin…I love it on your skin, but not so much on the fair skin. It looks too orange, as do all peachy/coral blushes on me. I’ll have to stick to pinks!
Karen says
I’m jealous of you! I bet you can pull off a lot of beautiful pale pinks that I can only dream of wearing!
Kim says
I’m always soo jealous when I look at photos of Karen being all glowy and pretty! I’m sure I have a much easier time with foundations, less pigmented products, and the cool pinks that I love though. The grass is greener on BOTH sides.

Hi Alyse,
I used the NYX Purple Smokey Look Kit. Here’s the review:

Toni says
Love the blush, and love the name! Can I just say that I had hair exactly like that in college? I am serious – I even rocked the big lace bow in my hair and had Aqua Net hairspray to make sure the whole permed shebang stayed big and puffy. I never got around to getting a “boy toy” belt though.
Thanks for showing the swatch comparisons to Coralista – I would probably pick the Coralista, because I’m NW20 and more of a pink-loving girl!
Karen says
Seriously, you are my hair hero. I longed for this exact ‘do when I was eight!!
I also wanted a “Boy Toy” belt, but Moms was not having it, LOL!
Toni says
Yeah, I don’t think I’d let my 8 year old have a boy toy belt either! LOL!

Hi! I love your blog! I recently discovered melon blush from sonia kashuk for target and I am in love!!! not only was it like $8 but its super pigmented and soft. Its more of a satin with a subtle sheen which is good for my oily skin( no frost!)
nikki says
this is a really pretty color especially on you. i have a feeling it might be too dark for me, which is weird bc i’m nc30. are you sure you’re nc35?
Julbra says
This is so beautiful, I’m gonna get it on my next trip to Ulta.
