“Bling it.”
“Oh, it’s already been blough-it.”
Sorry… Made myself laugh. 🙂
So, what’s better than getting a great deal on a face palette with eight pigmented shadows, a perky pink powder blush and five flattering lipsticks?
How ’bout this: getting it all with a side of bling.
No need to bust out your BeDazzler to bejewel the new limited edition Sephora Blinged Palette, because it already comes complete with sparkly rhinestones. It’s also pretty affordable at $15.
Oh, how do I love thee, Sephora Blinged Palette? Let me count the ways…
The shadows
Fallout? What’s that? I hardly see any at all from these eight powder eyeshadows. Worn with my beloved NARS primer. With the primer’s help, they’re a breeze to blend and last all day long on my lids.
I love the mix of matte and shimmer finishes and the brown, gold, peach, beige and green shades, which are nicely balanced between cool and warm tones.
Only thing is, the high-shine shimmery shades have an appetite for fine lines — meaning they like to highlight ’em.
The blush
What a nice surprise! It’s so smooth and natural looking.
The lipsticks
I wish these five unscented, unflavored lipsticks weren’t seated so close to the blush (such a pain), but I think the colors work so well with the palette that I’m willing to let it go.
Palettes come in all shapes and sizes, and if you’ve been at this a while, you’ve probably seen some wild and crazy packaging. Sometimes, though, the packaging is what puts an already good product over the top. That’s how Sephora’s new Blinged Palette is for me.
You get a lot of product for a good price in pretty cute packaging, and even without the bling, these easy-to-wear, flattering pieces can hold their own. If you decide to get one for your BFF, might want to grab an extra one for yourself.
You know, next time you stop by Sephora “just to look around.” 🙂
PRICE: $15
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Sephora stores and online at sephora.com

That man is a trader! — but in a really good way
Got some new goodie recs for ya from Trader Joe’s! I’m currently obsessed with their Fresh Linen Scent Hand Soap (which smells like clean laundry) and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread.
The cheese spread? — delish! I had some this morning on top of wheat toast, and just thinking about it now makes me want to grab a spoon and eat it straight from the tub…
Really, no, it’s that good.
I was at TJ’s last Sunday, and they had a ton of holiday cookies on display. I resisted them at the time, but they’ve been on my mind ever since, especially those damn Dark Chocolate Stars…
I wonder if Trader Joe’s is still open… Oh, probably not.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

You look amazing! I saw this palette at Sephora last week. It’s tiny!
Karen says
Hi Kristina,
Aww, mine seems an okay size — a little bigger than an iPhone. Did you pick up anything at Sephora?
Melissa Cay says
Wow this looks so great on you! $15?! Such a great gift idea. 🙂
Karen says
Hi Melissa,
Totally! So affordable and cute too. 🙂
Skyler Mcpherson says
I’d love to steal that look and get myself a new $15 Blinged Palette from Sephora right about now! 🙂
Karen says
Hi Skyler,
It’s really easy to do. I applied the gold shade all over the lid, the lighter brown and green in the outer corner, and the darker brown along the upper and lower lash lines. 🙂
MJ says
I’ve been eyeing this little piece ever since it popped up on Sephora’s website. I might just have to get it now. 😛
Karen says
Hi MJ,
It’s surprisingly great for the price! Go, Sephora!
Cheryl says
OMG! Those damn dark chocolate stars are calling my naaaame! And the Belgian chocs too! Nooooo!
Karen says
Hi Cheryl,
They’re relentless in their pursuit of my tum. 🙁
I saw some salted caramels that looked pretty good too. My weakness!
Lulle says
This is such a great value!
The shadows look very nice and right up my alley, I HOPE SANTA IS READING THIS… :p
Sephora can really make some fabulous LE products for a fair price sometimes!
Karen says
Hi Lulle,
I send “Santa” bits and pieces of my wish list every day. 😉 I’m pretty sure he’s reading MBB!
Marla says
You look great. I would love to try the Fresh Linen hand soap from Trader Joe’s. Bet that smells delish.
Karen says
Hi Marla,
It’s smells very fresh and clean!
Sunny says
You’re TOO pretty in these pics! I love the look you created with the palette. It sure looks like A LOT of value!
Karen says
Thanks, Sunny!
Kim says
I had to actually look again to make sure I read that right. $15 seems like a phenomenal deal for this palette. I’m not too excited about the shadows being fine line magnets but this would be great for the younger crowd. Lots of really pretty colors (and the bling is rocking). 🙂
I’ve been noticing a bit of a shift in hand soap scents. Not too long ago I picked up some Method in Chai Tea. I like it but the boys hate it. They’re used to things smelling like fruit, etc. HAHA!
Karen says
Hi Kim,
I did the exact same thing. At first I thought it was a typon on their website!
Thanks for the heads up on the Chai Tea soap. I’d probably like it. How do the boys feel about floral scents? Mrs. Meyer’s has a Honeysuckle one that’s pretty nifty.
Kim says
I’m not sure about the floral, but they probably would like Honeysuckle (kids’ stuff is all very sweet smelling, so that’s what they’re used to). I tell them that I’m trying to make them more sophisticated. Then they’re forced to roll their eyes. HAHA!
Nina says
Shhh but I have that cream cheese spread in my fridge, hidden under a bunch of veggies. ITS MINE! 😀
The packaging reminds me of an older MAC Couture collection whose name escapes me at the moment!
Agata says
This palette looks great and for 15 dollars it’s def a steal! The pumpkin cheese spread sounds delicious too, unfortunately I don’t have trader Joe’s anywhere near me.
Jennifer says
The colors look amazing on you!
Chris El says
I’m so glad you featured this. Didn’t know this existed and it would make a perfect Xmas present for a gal pal of mine who is just discovering makeup. 🙂
Tiffany Martin says
Great gift idea, and $15 is a nice price point. Not for me though, I like cool-tone lippies and matte neutrals. Still, as a gift, it sounds like a deal.

The last pic of you is so beautiful .. that’s my hair length goal – grow hair, grow!
Hmm, will have to check out the yummies at Trader Joes .. my local TJ parking lot can be a nightmare .. will have to go early Saturday am.

I like the content, but the packaging is not my thing. I like a little bling but this is so chunky. It’s more like studs.

Hi Karen, long time fan, first time commentator! I had to laugh at your Trader Joe’s tangent, I Just got back from there and picked up some vanilla cinnamon tea and their holiday edition sandwich cookie box! SO good! TJ’s hasn’t been open very long over here, but it’s become very popular. I love the quality and the prices!

this pallette looks so great. I already have so many similar ones though. xx. gigi. food and beauty blogger @ http://www.gigikkitchen.blogspot.com

Wow pretty! I love how you did your eye makeup in these pics! And I’m impressed–I usually don’t look twice at Sephora brand makeup, but it seems like they are really stepping up their game lately and their makeup has been getting awesome reviews. For the price, this palette looks like a definitely must-try!
Laura says
I love mine! I picked it up the day after Election Day when I was in Chicago. I have a local Sephora here in Lexington, KY, but I can’t resist going to other Sephoras when I travel!
Daniela says
Awww I miss Trader Joes SOOOO bad!!!! I lived in Monterey for three years(language school) and I went every day..It was my HG grocery store…sigh.
Anyway I picked up the bling palette this weekend and I surprisingly love it. The shadows were nice but the shocker was how much I loved the lipglosses. I didn’t find them shiny but once I put them on I didn’t feel them and they hung on through two cups of coffee and cereal..nice!!
I wish they sold this formula permanently…know of anything similar I could pick up?
Liz says
Wow, you look fabulous! What foundation are you wearing? I think this palette would make a really good Christmas present for my sister, and of course I’ll have to pick one up for myself as well…
