I’m in the mood for a walk. Care to come with?
Ooh! I’ll take you to a beautiful garden… Have you heard of FLOWER Beauty? Don’t worry — you won’t need your allergy meds. The flowers there are actually some of the new products in Drew Barrymore’s affordable makeup line available exclusively at Walmart.
Now, before I go off on a Drew fangirl moment (I LOVE her)…
FLOWER Lip Radiance High Shine Lip Lacquer Extreme ($7.98 each)
These full-coverage, unflavored, unscented Lip Lacquers start out creamy and opaque but fade while you’re wearing them to a soft semi-matte stain. I can definitely feel them on my lips — the formula has the heft of a MAC Lipglass without the stickiness. They’re also paraben-, phthalate- and sulfate-free.
I’m totally in love with these… They’re pigmented, smooth, super comfy and bright, and still very natural-looking. I can’t believe they’re drugstore and less than $10 each (just $7.98)!
Available in five shades — Pink About Me, Give Peach a Chance, Cherry-O!, Autumn Rose and Classic Nude.
FLOWER D.B. Daily Brightening Undereye Cover Creme ($8.98 each)
I had high hopes for this rollerball-like concealer contraption. You’re supposed to roll it on your under-eye circles, where it leaves behind an illuminating full-coverage concealer that you then pat with fingers or a brush.
It sounded like fun!
And it is. I like the rollerball part of the equation… It feels great on my skin, but the concealer doesn’t wow me. It’s close to full coverage, but not quite there, and the formula’s a little on the dry side, so it settles into my fine lines.
I also can’t seem to find a good shade for me. I’ve tried two of the darker ones, and neither is anywhere near dark enough for my NC 42 skin.
Available in four shades — DB1, DB2, DB3 and DB4.
FLOWER Beauty That’s So Kohl! Kohl Eyeliner ($7.98 each)
These chubby pencils can be used for coloring books to line your eyes, brighten the inner corners, highlight your brows, and can even work as a base for eyeshadows. One side has a pencil, and the other, a pointy smudging sponge.
I think these are just OK… They smudge easily enough, but they disappear from my lids about halfway through the day.
Available in five shades — Illu-min-eye-zer, Tell Me No Lilacs, Electric Volt, Espresso and Total Blackout.
If you plan to make a Walmart run anytime soon, swing by the FLOWER Beauty section.
I’m just sayin’. You’ll find all of these new FLOWER Beauty products blooming there (they’re exclusive to Walmart). They’re also available at walmart.com.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I’ve never tried Flower. The makeup always seemed kind of boring to me. I like the looks of Tell Me No Lilacs, so I may give it a go.

I’ve never heard of this brand before. These look wonderful!

I’m really hoping the concealer performs well!

I kinda wanna say yes to Tell Me No 🙂

I’m digging the look (and price!) of the Lip Lacquers. I haven’t tried Flower Beauty yet and a lippie or two seems like a good starting point.

Autumn Rose looks gorgeous! I have the same issue with any of the concealer/foundation products from Flower Beauty – shades dont run dark enough. Some of their cream lipsticks are amazing tho!

Love the look of the lipglosses! I’m not a lipgloss girl but I like these cause they look pretty pigmented, especially Autumn Rose.

The lip lacquers sound pretty promising! The swatches don’t look too bad either. Despite the short wear time, I’m actually eyeing the kohls too. I think they’re a little too big to be considered as eyeliners but the swatches look incredible. The shimmery one looks like it’ll make a nice eye brightener and the purple is just beautiful

So far, I’ve only tried the mascara because the Walmart I visited had them on clearance for some unknown reason; $3 for a tube. I like the mascara very much–the formula didn’t come out all goopy & wet & the brush worked very well for my lashes, one of the butterfly style brushes (is that a thing?). Thanks for the reviews; I’ve been contemplating a nude lip gloss & I like that they dry to a matte.

I’d love to try things from the brand but I don’t shop at Walmart. Too much scandal there, lol.

Glad to see a review on Flower products.I’ve been eyeing the eye shadow sticks hope they perform better than these eyeliners do! I brought a Flower cubby lip pencil and I like it. Going to check out the lip glosses the next time I go Walmart.

I really love their cream eyeshadows – I have a couple of those + a blush which is quite nice too. I love the look of llu-min-eye-zer, but it doesn’t sound like it was that great.

How in the heck are those the darker shades? Cray cray.

Erin, I too have serious moral reservations about buying anything from Walmart…..but I love Drew Barrymore……I went to the WalMart site, just to look, and they have a set of 3 chubby sticks (if that’s a trademark–sorry, Clinique) for lips on sale for $5, but they only give you a view of the sticks in the box, so it’s a pretty fuzzy representation of colors.
That is one reason I love this blog: you can see EXACTLY what each shade looks like. Now I have to weigh my need for Autumn Rose against the need of WalMart employees to make a decent wage.

Great post, Karen! Seems like everyone is doing these jumbo pencils nowadays, it must be the new thing in beauty!
This is a really random question, and you might completely ignore it, but if you don’t mind sharing, what font did you use to add Flower Beauty on the first photo in this post? I absolutely LOVE it, it’s so eye-catching to me! Thanks so much in advance! 🙂
Lots of love from Canada! 😀 <3
