I’ve recently tried this cream as well, it worked well for me, but I’m also starting to breakout. I think its my undergrounder whiteheads that are finally breaking the surface, so I must be purging. I was curious if you were purging as well or if you’re allergic to BHA and that’s what caused the breakouts. I’m debating if i should stick with this cream for a while longer.

Ok so I realize this comment is from FOREVER ago but I couldn’t resist puttin in my 2c even if people might not read it. BHA is salicilic acid so basically any over the counter product will work. I like the neutrogena cleansing pads with it, I always use those right before putting on my AHA cream at night which is amazing. Most AHA’s are suuuper expensive but if you haven’t heard of it yet, there’s a line called just AHA and they’re carried at Rite-aid or somewhere like drugstore.com. Besides they’re pretty hard to find but get this- you can get a HUGE amount of the cream for about $10-12 bucks, PLUS its a 10 or 12 % solution, PLUS it stays within a good ph as to not irritate your face. Anyway, had to give up the info because this stuff will totally change your face and it’s cheap. yayers!

Hi SV,

It really depends on finding out what works and what doesn’t work for your skin. Through trial and error I’ve found that for me, Beta Hydroxy creams does absolutely nothing in terms of brightening/removing dullness. It might be totally different for you … it’s just a matter of testing the product out and being aware of what your skin likes/doesn’t like! There are lots of options for you if a BHA doesn’t work: there’s alpha hydroxy acid based products, vitamin C products, just to name a few. Be sure to keep your receipts in a safe place and shop from stores with a good return policy so that if the product doesn’t work you can get your money back! Good luck, and please come back soon!

Hi,
I am 32 and I started using Olay’s Age Defying Night Cream. I am using it because I am sick of my skin being dull. I have very firm skin and no wrinkles. Have I picked up the wrong product? Plz can you find the time to mail me if u have anything to say?
