The closest I’ve ever come to the end of a paparazzo’s lens was standing next to Tabs on the red carpet.
Second closest time was today, via Chanel’s $27 Paparazzi plum nail polish concoction.
That’s one way I definitely don’t envy Tabs — having to deal with the paparazzi so much — since they always seem to appear at the most inopportune moments.
With my luck, every pic they snapped would be of me yawning, sneezing or attempting to stealthily extract my underwear from my bum…
No thank you!
I like Chanel’s Paparazzi much better than the ones that chase Tabs.
Maybe not as much as I like Starlet, but that’s probably because of how close we are to summer, and Starlet’s coral just seems more ripe and ready for sandals and summer dresses to me (Calgon, take me to the beach!).
Just like how Starlet spreads out across each nail after it’s applied, Paparazzi does the same thing. Neither shade exhibits noticeable streaking.
One thing I do have to watch when I wear Paprazzi is my timing. You have to be in the right place at the right time with this polish.
It’s best when you’re in the mood to wear something darker on your nails, specifically a pearly, plummy reddish brown. For me, the color is more of a fall thing, but who knows? Soon, when it’s almost 100 degrees here, I’ll be craving cooler temps, scarves and sweaters, and I may turn to this to tide me over till fall.
Yup, I’m looking forward to wearing Paparazzi this autumn.
Hmm… I wonder if Paparazzi was named after the photogs who chase the stars, or the stars who flee from them, and do the editors over at US Weekly have a cadre of photographers dedicated to catching Ryan Gosling off guard and shirtless?
Inquiring minds want to know. 🙂
As a color, Paparazzi seems youthful and elegant to me, more like Natalie Portman on stage at the Oscars than Amanda Bynes typing lawd knows what on Twitter (I can’t even handle it… What happened to my Amanda from What a Girl Wants?).
PRICE: $27

I’VE GOT THE POWER!!
Damn you, Weight Watchers commercial where Jennifer Hudson belts out, “I’ve got the power!” I blame you for making me listen to this Snap song all morning long and dancing to it like I did at the eighth-grade dance.
It’s getting, it’s getting, it’s getting kinda hectic!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Beautiful! I don’t have any Chanel polishes, I have trouble dropping a 20-spot for Rescue Beauty Lounge! But this color might change my mind!

Ooh, what a unique shade! I feel like Paparazzi isn’t particularly stunning (is it blasphemous of me to say that about a Chanel shade?), but I can’t think of a single other nail varnish quite like it.
The days are definitely still too long for this red/plum/brown, but I think I like it! 😀

Strangely, I like this shade! It’s kind of unique and different than almost everything out there right now. Kind of refreshing and classy!

Paparazzi is a chameleon! I borrowed it from my nail partner in crime and kept staring at my hands to decide what color it is. It is a very ladylike, flattering and elegant color. the kind that makes you feel not just more polished but also a little more powerful and in control. and, that, ladies, is what we are paying for in a luxury fashion house nail lacquer!

The 208 Chanel shade is also call paparazzi. Why they use the same name? I prefer the original pink color.
