I used to be skeptical about using brushes with animal hair.  Despite my weirdo-ness about my preference in &quot;no animal products and by-products&quot; (animal hair sorta falls under the same umbrella) I must confess I use brushes with goat hair and this is because goat hair is not only high quality but also because the hair are humanely collected. It is a fact that the best quality brushes remain those that are provided by natural hair.
