Let’s see how well I can type this with a 20-pound tabby draped across my right foreamr…
Oops! There’s a typo.
I thought I’d gotten used to touch typing beneath mounds of fur, but today Tabs is also head butting, which I think is his way of saying “you’re awesome,” but it’s getting in the way of my Boots No7 Poppy King Lipgloss ($9.99).
Maybe the headbutts are Tabs’ way of getting in on the Poppy King action. These glosses are good stuff, so I can’t really blame him.
Boots collaborated with Poppy King (the Lipstick Queen) to create these seven shiny, non-sticky glosses, which debuted at Target last month with an accompanying line of lipsticks, and each of the glosses has a lipstick counterpart of the same name.
Now, you know how much I love MAC’s Cremesheen Glasses, right? Well, I like these for many of the same reasons.
The thin, non-stick formula feels slick, smooth and oh-so-comfortable on my lips. I also dig their faintly orange flavor and scent, and that they don’t dehydrate my kisser, which is something many other glosses do.
I’ve been making out with testing six of the seven available colors, which deliver about two hours of wear time each.

If you like pigment like WHOA! — you may not be impressed, but with these I kinda like their semi-sheer color. I think it makes glosses easier to wear, since I don’t have to bother with a lip liner, ya know? Just swipe and go. 🙂

I’ve been getting into semi-sheer glosses, because I like layering glosses over lipstick. Here’s a lip combo I love:

Ooh, those look excellent! I’m a total sucker for a creme-finish gloss – it’s great to see a collection that isn’t stuffed full of glitter chunks 😛

Power, Glamour, Intrigue & Allure are lovely! I love how wearable these shades are; as you said, “swipe & go.”

TGIF indeed. Why? I got my migraine shots today! YAYAYAYAYAYAY! I was so happy! I haven’t had shots since July because my neurologist wanted to see how my headaches were without the shots. Well, it was not fun. 2 headaches a week instead of 2-3 a month IS NOT FUN. I won my shots, man. I am very, very happy that I’m all numbed up!
These glosses are very beautiful (especially Allure & Glamour), but citrus scents are the worst scents in the world for me. The remind me of EEGs! I hate EEGs, especially overnight ones! Bad, bad memories…..
Zena forgot to give you Christmas kisses for Christmas, so she’s sending you them now.
