Today UK-based bridal makeup artist Rochelle O’brien tells us what we should know about Blinc Eyebrow Mousse.
Fountain of Youthful Colour Eyebrow Mousse, the newest edition to Blinc’s range of bestselling products, is designed to give fullness and colour to sparse brows. As well as having a long lasting colour formula, it also has anti-ageing properties to benefit the skin beneath your brows, too.
I love that all Blinc products come in cute little tins — they appeal to the packaging geek in me — and their eyebrow mousse is no different.
The applicator looks like a regular mascara wand, and the information leaflet explains that you to start by brushing the wand through your brows to build up the colour before using the tip of the wand to add fullness where you need it.
Now, my brows have never been the same since I plucked them all out back in the late ’80s, and it would take a lot to drag me away from my trusty Clinique brow pencil that I use daily; however, after trying Blinc’s brow mousse, I could well be converted.
That said, it’s hard to get a definite line with the Blinc wand. It tends to deposit too much product in each go, but using an angled brush gives much more control.
Once you get some colour on your brows, it dries solid, and it’s VERY hard to shift once it sets. Starting slowly and gradually building it up works best for me.
A great thing about Blinc’s mousse is that once you’ve applied it, it just won’t budge, which is great if you’re a compulsive face-toucher and eye-rubber like me!
Even with makeup remover, you still have to give it a good rub to get it to come away, and it will last you through a good session at the gym, too, as it’s completely sweat, heat and smudge proof.
It comes in six colours — black, light blonde, dark blonde, auburn, light brunette and dark brunette — so there’s bound to be a colour for everyone.
Retailing at £16.50 (about $27), it’s not the cheapest brow product out there, but it’s definitely worth looking at if you need a hard working brow product that won’t let you down.

I have used Blinc products when it was called “Kiss Me.” I tried the mascara, but didn’t really like the mascara. I have thin and sparse eyebrows, so I would be interested in testing out the brow mousse.

I could use some of this – I had an overplucking accident this morning o:
But… what shade would you recommend for a redhead?

OoOoO this looks like something that I want to try! I have one similar that I got in Japan. I love it!

I will definitely try it! I love their mascara, which is great for my sensitive eyes (it will not run and burn in my eyes, which is what pretty much every other mascara does) and can be removed with just water…I wonder if the brow color is based on the same ‘tubes’ concept…
Hello to Karen! I really like your blog and look at it every day. Tabs is so cute 🙂

I have pretty well-defined eyebrows, so my eyebrows may turn into caterpillars if this tends to clump.

I should use a product like this, I don’t really take so good care of my eyebrows. 🙂
