Benefit Dancing Queen Ultra Shines Lipgloss Is My Jam

Everyone has at least *one* song that always gets ‘em on the dance floor (and don’t even pretend; I know what you do when you hear “Oh, my, god. Becky, look at her butt,” LOL!).

As a lifelong lover of public displays of ridiculousness, I actually have quite a few booty-shaking dance jams. One of my all-time faves: Dancing Queen! :)

See that girl, watch that scene, diggin’ the dancing queen…

Yeah, “young and sweet and only 17″ — that was a loooong time ago for yours truly, but the song still totally moves me. And when Benefit announced the new Ultra Shines lipglosses a few months ago and included a color called Dancing Queen ($18), I thought, “It’s destiny!”

I’ve really been into bright lips lately, like Dancing Queen, a flirty, shimmery hot pink with subtle blue iridescence.

Like the other Ultra Shines I’ve tried, Dancing Queen goes on silky smooth, with loads of pigment and shine, and I love how great it looks on different skin tones. The color looks lovely on Erin, a pale blonde beauty with green eyes, and Marisol, a brown-eyed babe who’s a few shades darker than me.

Mandatory goofy face!

Suffice it to say, I’m crushing on this color, hard.

NOTE: It’s unflavored, but it does have a faintly fruity vanilla scent…just in case you’re not a fan of scented lip products.

If you’re in the mood for something bright and fun, consider taking this Dancing Queen out for a spin. Available at Sephora, as well as Benefit counters, stores and online at benefitcosmetics.com. Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A+

You might like Benefit Dancing Queen Ultra Shine Lipgloss if…

  • You like the look of bright pink gloss
  • You want a moisturizing lippie
  • You don’t mind lip products with a subtle fruity/vanilla scent

What’s your dance jam?

Speaking of dance jams, I put the question out there on twitter. Is there a song that always gets your booty on the dance floor?

Come on. Fess up! :)

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Haha you look really cute and funny in that picture! As for the dance jams question, I usually don’t like dancing (I know I’m a weirdo) but I can’t resist Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” and “Rock & Roll All Night” from Kiss :D Haha even the thoughts of them are provocative.

You are sooooo my sister. LOL. That is her jam too! I love this gloss. I’m overdue for some Benefit love, too, so I’ll have to check it out.

God, anything from Michael Jackson is my JAM. Anything–but PYT is my all-time fave. Poison by Bel Biv Devoe is another one. Never trust a big butt and a smile!

I think it’s mandatory to have a sister who’s obsessed with this song, LOL! I know about 5 of ‘em.

Benefit’s been having a GREAT run as of late. When you go peep the Ultra Shines and the new palettes!

Funny that you mention old school MJ. I have been listening to Off the Wall non-stop all week long.

And those boys of BBD… what wise sages!

What are you up to this weekend? Doing anything fun?

    Karen,
I absolutely love the words you use. You are such a funky teenager at heart. Can I come live with you? You seem like you’d be an awesome mom.
