How many bronzers belong in your wardrobe?
Wait — wardrobe?
Yup, a bronzer wardrobe, because it can be nice to have a selection of different bronzers to choose from for different events.
Like a bronzer for date nights, maybe one for brunch, one for big meetings at work, and another one for epic events and fantastical days, like winning the lottery and collecting one of those gigantic checks, or visiting a Petco on kitten adoption day, sweeping your arms wide open and roaring, “OPEN ALL THE CAGES! I’LL TAKE THEM ALL!”
Too Faced Cosmetics is determined to change the way beauty babes look at bronzer.
They’re hoping that instead of relying on just one bronzer to wear year round, bronzer-loving babes (and guys) will see the benefits of wearing different bronzers on different days — much like how we think of lipsticks.
Hmm… Fascinating. I’m a big-time bronzer buff and barely go a day without wearing it. Sitting by the pool at the Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes yesterday afternoon, the idea of bunches of bronzers made sense to me.
A BIT ABOUT BRONZER: Too Faced bronzers contain pink undertones to more closely resemble naturally tanned skin.
My policy on bronzers, as much as I’ve loved them, has always been to just grab the closest one, but Too Faced Co-Founder and Creative Director Jerrod Blandino sees more variety among bronzers, the colors and the different ways they work, and envisions bronzer lovers choosing bronzers based on their mood and needs.
A BIT ABOUT BRONZER: Years ago when Jerrod’s sister Lisa was diagnosed with Stage IV melanoma, he made it his mission to develop the most naturally beautiful bronzers — bronzers that would allow women to get the look of a safe, gorgeous tan. Today his sister is healthy and thriving, and Too Faced has one of the widest ranges of bronzers in the beauty biz.
Jerrod recommends beginning with the company’s long-wearing Endless Summer 16+ Hour Bronzer — a bodacious bronzer for date nights, thanks to its long wear time.
I mean, you never know about date nights. Dinner can turn into dinner and a movie, or dinner and dancing till the break of dawn. 🙂
How about Sunday brunch with your boo or a girls’ spa day? For more casual events, Jerrod favors Pink Leopard Blushing Bronzer because of its purr-fect pinkish peach flush.
For day-to-day bronzing, something like the Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer duo could be the 9-to-5 workhorse you need.
Building a collection of bronzers for every occasion is just the start. Jerrod’s also trying to get women to re-think how they wear their bronzers, too.
Instead of just one bronzer, why not layer two for different effects?
Try contouring with matte shades like the Chocolate Soleil or Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzers to chisel out your cheeks, and then add even more dimension by sweeping a shimmery bronzer, like Snow Bunny or Beach Bunny, to deepen your tan with a warm, luminous all-over glow.
A BIT ABOUT BRONZER: Jerrod came up with the idea for Too Faced’s Chocolate Soleil Bronzer after having a chocolate facial at the Four Seasons hotel on Maui (Side note: give both Chocolate and Milk Chocolate Soleil a sniff next time you’re at Sephora; they smell just like chocolate, om nom nom!).
Whatever the occasion, there’s a Too Faced Bronzer for you. 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
Agata says
Being a recent bronzer addict I wish I had all of them, or at least a half :)And I like the idea of using two different bronzers at the same time to serve different purposes ( I can see myself explaining it to my husband who’s wondering why anyone would new 5 different bronzers, lol).
Karen says
I can see you in Beach Bunny and Sun Bunny, for sure! Bronzed and Poreless and Milk Chocolate Soleil too. 🙂
I love the idea of using two bronzers, too. Now why didn’t I think of that? LOL
You can always tell your hubs that bronzers are like video games. You can’t have JUST ONE, no way!
Sunny says
OOO gosh, these are SOOO gorgeous! I might prefer the ones with a more matte finish (I think Milk Chocolate Soleil might be my shade), but everything looks good enough to eat <3
Karen says
Hi Sunny,
The matte ones are great! They have a soft texture that’s almost creamy. Really easy to blend!
Nanette says
How do you like the Bronzed and Poreless? You think this will work for an NC42 gal like me? Thanks!!
Karen says
Hi Nanette,
It’s subtle on NC42 skin, but it’s nice for days when I want just a little extra bump of bronzing. Here’s a full review:

Nanette says
Thanks Karen! You’re awesome. I didn’t even realize that we have the same skin tone! Now I know that whatever color you use will work for me as well 🙂 I just might have to get that bronzer then. That’s actually what I am looking for.
Marly~ says
I LOVE the way their bronzer looks <3 <3 It's a shame there's something in their formula that makes me break out in hives ;____;
Karen says
Oh no, Marly! That’s too bad.
Evelyn says
I’m new to the bronzer scene. I’m intrigued by that bronzed and poreless one. I’m assuming it’s supposed to minimize the appearence of pores, is that right? Def. checking these out.
Karen says
Hi Evelyn,
Yup, you’re right. When I wear it my pores look more mellow. Here’s a link to the full review:

Tiffany says
The chocolate one is my FAVE! Smells like cocoa puffs!!! What more could I want?!?
Karen says
LOL, which one do you use? The regular chocolate or the milk chocolate?
I put some on this morning and a little bit of the powder got into my mouth and I swear it even tasted like chocolate!
Tiffany says
I think regular? I bought it back when there was only one lol. This reminds me to bust it out! I’ve been using a tarte bronzer and you can see half the pan now haha. Love that bronzers are one of few products I can actually finish up!!
CrystalCandy says
I own Endless Summer (because of you) and Chocolate Soleil, love them both!! Thanks for your review about Endless Summer, by the way! 🙂
Karen says
YAY! I’m so glad that you love Endless Summer. 🙂 It’s a really nice bronzer! How has your week been? I’m so ready for Friday, LOL!
CrystalCandy says
Busy!! I can’t wait until that day (Friday) is over! How was yours?
Allison says
I’m super pale and have a super hard time finding a bronzer that isn’t too gold and fake looking on my skin, I think I may just have to check out Milk Chocolate Soleil and Snow Bunny this weekend!
Karen says
Hi Allison,
I think you’ll like both of those! They’re really great for pale skin tones. Also check out Pink Leopard too. That could also be very flattering.
LIZ says
What great swatches! I have six Bronzers. Nars Irresistiblement, Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronzer in Bali Brown, Bobbi Brown Bronzer in Deep, Laura Mercier Bronzer in Ritual, and Physician’s Formula Bronzer strips in Sunset Bronze ( I don’t use this as a bronzer though, I use the strips as eyeshadows). I have Bobbi Brown shimmer brick in Bronze, but I count that as a highlighther, it’s not dark enough to be a bronzer for me.
Karen says
Hi Liz,
Thank you!
Ooh, great idea to use that Physicians Formula Sunset Bronze as eyeshadow! I bet it would look really pretty with a matte broze shade in the crease.
Do you use one bronzer at a time, or multiple powders? I usually only use one, but I’m going to try the two-bronzer thing and see how it goes.
Liese | lipstickandsoda says
those swatches look beautiful! i actually don’t have that many bronzers, this year i’m really getting into them though. thanks for sharing 🙂
Karen says
You’re welcome.
WHat bronzers are you currently using? Maybe I can help you find one you like.
Lorraine says
Those bronzers look delectable. I have grabby hands already!
Monika says
Thanks for swatching all these bronzers! I’ve never had the biggest interest in Too Faced stuff, but their bronzers have been making me raise an eyebrow lately. I’m an NC40 (more towards 42 now that summer has finally come to the Northeast), and I wanted to know what your recommendations would be for me! I think the Chocolate Soleil would be great since it’s not orangy at all, and sometimes I need to take a break from MAC Give Me Sun! (which I bought thanks to you!) Other than Chocolate Soleil, what works for skin tones in the NC40-43 range? Thanks!
Kelly says
One day when you are a famous world-known photographer I can look back on these photos and say, I was THERE when she took them! 🙂
It was so fun yesterday and I hope to see you soon!

Those bronzers are very pretty! I’m not a bronzer enthusiast but now that it is summer, I have a feeling that I will become one and buy a million bronzers :B Thanks for the awesome post!
Bell says
Help! New to bronzers and NW20 skin, the best bronzer to go for is………?
Thanks Karen, LOVE your blog!!!!
Daphne says
Oh. My. Gosh.!!! I just left Ulta (my safe place during a tornado watch) in Tulsa, OK with a bare escentuals bronzer … But I am already planning to go back and pick up 2 Faced Beach Bunny. I have two bronzers at home by the way … So Karen, yes! I say yes to a bronzer wardrobe!
Lulle says
Lovely family pictures! Snow Bunny was my very first bronzer, and I agree with you, it’s a great shade to start – and still one of my favorite bronzers!
I seriously need to try Bronzed and Poreless.
Monica P says
OH, the leopard bronzer is my fav, but I never pick it up as I think “oh, to gimmicky” .. ok, I may have to pick this up – Now.
Monica.
Claire B says
So, I’ve never worn a bronzer because I have super-pale skin. Does bronzer look good on pale skin? And what bronzer would you recommend?
Becca @ The Beauty Sample says
I really like the subtle matte-glow of Chocolate Soleil–ahhh, so many bronzers, so little time…and money :/ haha
Quinctia says
I love bronzer, and might pick up one or two of these someday, but the lineup looks a bit same-y for my taste. They need to do a four seasons varient, and I’m not seeing anything that leans more golden.
Jettie says
Can’t decide what I’m craving for more… pool+sunshine or the gorgeous bronzers!!
Danielle says
I have their Chocolate bronzer, but I’ve been keeping an eye on Milk Chocolate. The leopard print bronzer has always intrigued me.
Jennifer says
I’ve never been into Too Faced but you are making me want to try them! Looks great!
Jay @ Wayfaring Beauty says
I’m still pretty new to the bronzing scene and am still working on making it look natural. I feel like I always either go too light (and then it’s not even noticeable) or too dark (and then it’s wayyyyy too noticeable). I really like Too Faced’s though, especially the range they’ve created.
Gia says
WOW – Too Faced seem to have an amazing collection of bronzers! I am a huge fan of the bronzed look, contouring and chocolate shades of blushes, eyeshadows….everything! So seeing this collection is very inspiring! I think I’ll go for Chocolate Soleil or Sun Bunny. Exquisite!
Heidi says
This makes me want to try the bronzers now! Im still getting the hang of it….wish me luck!!
P.s. your so gorgeous!! 🙂
Natalye says
I am a proud owner of all the Too Faced bronzers, I love bronzer! Has anyone noticed that Pink Leopard looks different from older versions of it? It looks like a combination of Peach and Pink Leopard.
Preethi says
hi Karen. love your reviews. really helps me out with most of my decision making. I so want to purchase one of these two faced bronzers but am stuck deciding between Beach bunny & Pink leopard. Which would you choose out of the two. currently my bronzer favs are Clarins Splendours Summer Bronzing Compact & Guerlain Terra Ora. Thanx
Lucyana says
Wow I’m so in love with your bronzer collection. Me tooo, as being a girl who never tried any bronzer before and finally met Hoola by benefit, I’ve been searching for a good subtle shimmery bronzer and another matte (why not?) haha. BTW I’m NC 20-25. which one would u suggest for me If I want to grab some of these cute things. and also What if I bought like their too faced boudoir palette, would the choco soleil be too dark and muddy for my skin tone? THANKS A BUNCH^^
Lucyana says
Ups I mean their Bonjour soleil , haha sorry for the confusing product name ^^
