My mom has never really been a makeup girl, but if she were to strike up a conversation with me about NARS blushes, I hope to gawd she doesn’t bring up the new blushes from the Pop Goes the Easel collection, because one of them is called Threesome, and I DO NOT want to be having a conversation with my mom that involves the word “threesome.”
NOPE. Can’t do it. Not gonna do it!
But if it were you and me? Totally fine. Threesome, Misconduct and Peep Show. Those are the three new powder blushes in the NARS Pop Goes the Easel collection. They’re $30 each, limited edition and only available at Nordstrom.
Misconduct is a warm peachy plum with golden sheen (like a really sheer version of NARS Sin), Threesome is a matte cool baby pink, and Peep Show is a matte bright reddish pink.
These literally go hard
I don’t want to stir up the makeup conspiracy theorists, but these three blushes feel dramatically different to me than my normal NARS blushes.
NARS blushes are usually my “ride or die” blushes, but these feel… I wanna say crunchy, but that’s not right. Stiff? When I run a finger across a pan, it picks up very little product, which is unusual for a NARS blush.
I checked the back to see if they were made someplace other than Canada, which is where NARS blushes are normally made, but they weren’t. I dunno… Maybe I got a funky batch.
They’re at their best when applied with the right brush
Even though these don’t feel super soft to me, they are better when I apply them with a thick, dense brush. You gotta plan to do a lot of swirling in the pan, too.
The final verdict
If I hadn’t spent 10-plus years obsessing over NARS blushes, I might not even notice anything different about these, but I do.
Maybe it’s just me. Maybe they’re supposed to be this way, but I prefer my ride-or-die Madly, Amour, Sin and Torrid.

I notice that NARS’ blushes made exclusively for Nordstrom are different… Drier. Less pigmented. Stiff.
Yep. It’s a fact.

Timing is just so funny. In my search to find a replacement for the Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation, I found the Chanel foundations too yellow/orange on my skin. So I sauntered to the NARS counter to try the Sheer Glow Foundation. I purchased the shade Punjab and the Radiant Concealer in Macadamia. The MUA gave me a mini Laguna bronzer and a sample of the face primer. The product names are pretty raunchy, even for my 57 year old self, but so far I like the foundation after wearing it a few days. I could be a convert.
Be well!

I own Sin, Torrid and Amour, so I think I can skip these.

Aw, its too bad these are stiff. I was eyeing Threesome and Misconduct. Oh well, money saved!

Misconduct looks really nice and natural, but I think, even if my naturally pale, it won’t show that much on me :'( Well, peep show, I suppose, will appear on everyone!

I like the colors, too bad they are stiff 🙁

I like all three colours, although I have a preference for Peep Show. Shame they’re stiff though!
