Wha-wha!? Double take! I had to do a faux one when I saw NARS Double Take up close for the first time. It’s the new highlighter in the NARS Man Ray Holiday 2017 color collection.
I mean, look at the pan. There are lips on it…but it’s a cheek product? It’s a little confusing, but dang if it isn’t pretty, so I’m just going to let myself be confused and go with it, LOL! Heck, I still might even put it on my lips sometime to see what happens…
The limited edition warm golden formula feels super soft and dense — a little like the MAC In Extra Dimension powders, only finer and creamier. When I flick a brush across it, the powder particles cling to the bristles and don’t go flying everywhere.
Double Take is described as universally flattering, but I don’t know about that. I think it’s going to sing sonnets on warmer skin tones and skin that can handle mucho attention from the frosty finish, but if golds turn orange on you, that could happen here. It could potentially end up looking more bronzed orange than gold because of how warm it is.
The closest gold I have to it in my collection is MAC In Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Oh Darling. They’re equally pigmented and shiny, but Oh Darling is slightly cooler toned and more yellow than Double Take, which looks warmer and has a barely-there peach undertone.
If you look at my upper cheekbones in this pic, you can see a small amount of it partying with my fine lines, and that’s after I tried to buff it down, because I prefer a softer highlighter. So, if you like having a Nike swoop-style shine on the side of your face, girl, you can get there with this in like two seconds.
NARS Overexposed Glow Highlighter in Double Take is $42, and a little goes a long way. The pan is pretty big, too, 0.22 ounces, so it should last you a while. It’s available meow with everything else in the NARS Man Ray Holiday 2017 collection.

It looks beautiful on your skin.

I’ll probably pass on that, don’t think I’ll use it enough to justify a purchase although it’s very pretty. Have doubts about the shade too, at least on my skin.

I don’t really need anything that crazy! I’m considering picking up that new shade of Becca in the mini though!

I love Nike but not on my cheekbones. 🙂 Sometimes it’s hard to tell what is reflection from the lights and what is highlighter so I was glad you said where you used it. I really did have to look so I think it was pretty well buffed/subtle, which is good since it likes to party with the fine lines.
