Right now, I seriously can’t help smiling every time I look down at my nails. 🙂
I’ve had negative time for my nails since starting night classes, but the new Dior Polka Dots Colour & Dots Manicure Kits ($31 each; three limited edition color combos available) remind me what a fun manicure can do to brighten my mood. Every time I’m driving or typing, I feel more put together!
I usually do my own nail painting, and I’ll stick to a few classic colors, rotating every two weeks or so, but I get bored of these same colors real fast. So, with these Polka Dots not only do I get two beautiful shades of the best polish formula (IMO), there are many ways to wear them together — or alone! If you can’t already tell, I’m completely smitten.
As part of the 2016 Dior Summer Milky Dots Collection, each manicure kit comes with two 0.23-oz. bottles and a sexy “Dior” branded dotting tool. The dotting tool has also been a pleasant surprise. Now I can easily draw with my other polishes too.
The color combos — in classic Dior fashion — are elegantly intriguing; my favorite being 002 Confettis. The light orange shade is really doing it for me…and I WILL be using it alone in the near future! I’ve had no issues with the lighter color showing up on the darker color either.
Dior nail polishes have an outstanding formula. They have a medium consistency and apply opaque with two coats using a wide brush. One of them, Junon, is one of the longest lasting polishes in my collection.
The Polka Dots Manicure Kits are limited edition for summer 2016 and available now at Dior, Sephora, and most Dior counters.
I think this is an interesting move for Dior… These feel more whimsical than their usual collections. What do you think? Let me know!
See you in the next,
Anna

Adorable! There are prob a lot of kitchen or cheap manicure tools you could use to make a clean dot, too. 🙂 But then you wouldn’t get the Dior polish, right?! Those colors really are beautiful. Your drawings are always the best part though, Anna!

Thank you Amy!!!! <3 Yeah you could pretty much use anything for a dot, but it didn't occur to me until I finally had a dotting tool. And yeah the Dior polishes are a cool bonus hehe

I love both, but the orange is my favorite! So cute, and your drawing is beautiful 🙂

Dots are probably the only nail art I would ever manage to do, as I am helplessly untalented with anything that has to do with drawing. The colors are very pretty though.
Anna Oh says
Same! I only do solid nails and at most, dots.

These are so cute! Lovely colour combinations, and the dotting tool looks really useful! Very light hearted from a house like Dior!

These are really cute and your dots are perfect. Like, perfectly round & symmetrical. I can never get my dots to look this good. Love both manis & the polishes look really pretty. And once again, your art always adds a certain something to your posts 🙂

Aw thank you 🙂
The dotting tool helps to deposit an even amount of polish, but they are all still unique haha. There’s a learning curve but it’s very easy in the end.

I love the darker color in the Plumetis combo. Not sure I’d ever attempt the polka dots though. I’m fairly certain my attempts would not turn out as perfect as yours.
I really like the eye look you’re wearing in the top photo.

Thanks Tatiana! I am wearing a gel eyeliner winged out with a medium brown eyeshadow. Easy peasy!
