Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but China Glaze is so delightful. And since we’ve no place to go, Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! 🙂
You’ll have to set down that Halloween candy corn for a minute, though, but don’t worry. I have a holiday candy cane and a cup of eggnog for you instead. Yes, it’s time for another holiday collection, and this one’s from China Glaze.
Even though winter is still months away, I say Let It Snow — as in the new 12-piece collection of festive polishes coming soon from China Glaze (about $6 each).
I’m wearing two layers in each of the swatches below. Have a quick look, and let me know if any of the colors ring your bell.
The China Glaze Let It Snow Collection
- Poinsettia — A creamy ruby red
- Ring In The Red — The holidays wouldn’t be complete without at least one glittering red polish
- Winter Berry — A creamy cranberry red (perfect for sipping hot cocoa by the fire)
- Velvet Bow — A rich, creamy red inspired by red wine
- Glittering Garland — A dazzling glittery green the color of pine trees and mistletoe
- Holly-Day — A rich hunter green sans sparkle
- Champagne Bubbles — A sophisticated metallic gold with golden shimmer
- Twinkle Lights — A mix of glittery shades that twinkle like tree lights
- Snow Globe — A frosty white with flecks of snow
- Icicle — A shimmery silver with a flash of ice
- Tinsel Town — A metallic silver glitter perfect for a night on the town
- Blue Year’s Eve — A lustrous, shimmering blue to ring in the new year

China Glaze makes some of my favorite blues and greens, and I think they’re on to something here with Holly-Day and Blue Years Eve. The glitter shades, too, like Ring in the Red, Snow Globe and Twinkle Lights, caught my eye.
What do ya think? Is it too early in the year, or should we say, “Let It Snow”? 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
Michelle Miller says
I need Twinkle lights!
Karen says
That’s one of my faves! 🙂

Karen says
So sparkly, right? Are you a China Glaze fan?
Arianne says
Tinsel Town!!! I’ve always wanted to put a disco ball on my finger tips. 🙂
Karen says
Funny… I’ve always wanted a disco ball. 🙂
marisol says
I agree with Arianne. Tinsel Town looks pretty amazing. So does Blue Years Eve.
And apparently my mom thinks it’s Christmas time. I came back from my weekend in the South Bay to our Christmas tree being put up in the living room. O.O
Karen says
WHAT? I guess mom likes to be prepared.
Please tell me you ate a LOT of Pinkberry.
marisol says
I just had it the one time. But I did find it closer to us. We didn’t make it to Santara Row but the Standford Shopping Center has it.
Alanna says
I am such a sucker for glitter polish! I would probably wear it all the time, except removal is usually so much trouble and kills my nails 🙁 Was it difficult for these ones?
Karen says
Hi Alanna,
No harder than usual. I usually soak a cotton pad, hold it down with some pressure for a minute or two and then it usually slips right off. It’s not difficult when I do it that way, but it does take time.
Alanna says
Thanks Karen! I’ll have to try it that way – I think I’m just too impatient to take the time to do it properly!
Karen says
It’s not too bad if you do it while you watch TV or something. 🙂
Emma RZ says
I’m the same as you Alanna. I ended up soaking my nails in a bowl of accetone remover the last time and then taking it off with a cotton pad. Similar to Karen’s idea and it does take time too.
Angela says
Snow Globe is majorly fun!
Karen says
How cute would that shade be on top of pastels? Yum yum!
Jessi says
Ahh, I love China Glaze! I’ve been trying to limit my polish spending lately as my collection is slightly out of control, but I see a few here I want. Thanks for the swatches Karen!
Karen says
Hi Jessi,
You can never have enough China Glaze. 😀 It really is one of the best polishes out there (doesn’t chip and sooo affordable).
How have you been? Hope your week is off to a good start!
Swatch And Learn says
Haha! I know the feeling! But Christmas collections always get me…and also fall collections, too. Seems like that’s when nail-polish companies really bring out the stunners of the year.
I’m looking forward to wearing Snow Globe, Twinkle Lights, Glittering Garland, Ring in the Red, and Blue Year’s Eve.
Karen, I like how you swatch a different colour on each nail. It helps me see how the collection looks like as a whole.
luv2smilexo says
My goodness that blue is absolutely gorgeous. I love China glaze glitters and will probably pick up twinkle lights 🙂
Alaina says
Champagne Bubbles and Glittering Garland must be mine! I love how Twinkle Lights looks in the bottle but I just don’t wear glitter, period.
Jen says
I need Twinkle Lights and Snow Globe now.
Stef Smith says
China Glaze is my favorite polish! These colors are all telling me that they must come home to live with me! Who am I to tell them no? LOL!
whitepepper says
I looooove Twinkle Lights! So festive!
No tree until end of November here. We didn’t put it up last year. I think the kitties are going to go nuts!
gio says
Blue Year Eve is so gorgeous! Love Glittering Gardaland too.
amy says
Blue Year’s Eve and Tinsel Town are my favourites from the collection
Anna says
Tinsel Town… *drool*
Nicole says
Blue Year’s Eve. I cannot stop staring.
Ele says
I’d love to wear Poinsettia with Ring in the Red on top! And Blue year’s eve is gorgeous!
Karen B says
Blue Year’s Eve and Snow Globe are definitely coming home with me soon 🙂
kalcedon says
Champing Bubbles, Poinsettia, Winter Berry and Ring In The Red for me! 🙂
Sonya says
Oo love Tinsel Town and Blue Year’s Eve!
Vonvon says
I want all of them!
The glitters in Twinkle Lights and Snow Globe look much finer than Deborah Lippmann’s Happy Birthday which are quite big and applies sparsely.
Nina says
i want snow globe, mostly for the name, but also bec it is made of pure awesome!!!
Kim says
Squee on Icicle! Actually Velvet Bow is really pretty, too. It’s odd that with all the glitter, I’d take a shine to the sort of basic maroon. They’re actually all lovely and very holiday-ish. 🙂 How was the dry time?
Ruchita says
I’m not ready for cold weather and snow yet, but I’m digging Blue Years Eve and Glittering Garland!
Vijaya says
The blue shade is stunning. I think I can pass on the rest!
Katy says
Holy Crackers! I think I need snow globe… I’m a huge fan of china glaze! They have great colors and they aren’t too expensive.
Carmela says
Just when I thought I could curb my polish budget and then the holiday sets come out. :S
China Glaze always makes fantastic glitters and Snow Globe and Twinkle Lights are no different. I definitely agree with you about the blues and greens. While I might skip out of Blue Year’s Eve (it’s right up my alley but it looks too similar to OPI’s Swimsuit…Nailed It and Orly Sweet Peacock), Glittering Garland and Holly-Green and fantastic. 😀
Thanks for great swatches and awesome review, as always!
Amanda says
I’m loving Tinsel Town! And Snow Globe looks like it could be used year round over just about anything. Gotta get these!
Emma RZ says
I can foresee that my wallet will be lighter if I find this collection. Love Snow Globe, Blue Year’s Eve, Glittering Garland and I quite like Tinsel Town. I so don’t need any more polish though. I still have recent polishes that I haven’t even swatched!
Natasia says
I love Icicle. I want to do my sister’s and my mom’s nails with it too so we can all match for Christmas!
Stephanie says
I need every polish!
Karen says
Yeah you do! Which one’s your fave?
Chris25 says
China Glaze always gets me with their holiday collections. I like them even more than OPI holiday releases. Twinkle Lights is definitely going to be mine.
Vero says
Snow globe reminds me of fairys 🙂 maybe over a pretty plum so I can be a sugar plum fairy.
cyra says
ooh Revlon has a shade just like glittering green called emerald city, but it’s matte!
Gotham Polish says
China Glaze knows how to do the holidays!
Hana_Berlin says
I love me some CHINA GLAZE!
LoveVex says
Holly-day, Glittering Garland and Snow Globe really want me to go adopt them Right Now. There are others here that I like but I have stuff similar enough to let the lemming pass.
Soo says
Blue Years Eve & Icicle would look great paired together!
Beauty and the Scientist says
I want Ring in the Red, Champagne Bubbles, Twinkle Lights, Blue Year’s Eve, Velvet Bow, Tinsel Tow. I might as well just get all of them, they are so gorgeous!!!!!!
SatelliteDreamer says
Hmmm. I may have to pay a visit to my Sally’s tomorrow and see if they have Snow Globe. Unfortunately, my CosmoProf membership has expired, along with my hair career!
FiaSpice says
Icicle look awsome, it’s gonna be hard to resist buying it.
Naomi says
Where do you purchase your China Glaze from? I’m in Australia so are there any good online sites you reccomend?
