  5. 5. Jian said, on May 10th, 2009:

    =D Oh yay! More tuts!

By the way Karen, I want to ask, how do you deal with slightly mean comments? I don’t know if you’ve ever got them before, but me being relatively new to this Blog-world felt quite insulted when I received my first ‘mean’ comment today.

I suppose the best thing to do is not to be upset since on the internet people can say whatever they like.

I’m sick of these, they just seem like filler to me :( I still love your blog though!

  7. 7. Karen said, on May 10th, 2009:

    Hi Jian,

Try not to let it get to you. You know the phrase, “Water off a duck’s back”? If someone says something mean, I try to just remember that everyone has bad days, so I’m willing to cut people some slack.

But if someone’s clearly just being downright hateful, I’ll ban them from posting. Frustrated, tired and a little fussy are fine. Everyone loses it from time to time, but I don’t associate with hateful people. POOF!

  8. 8. Karen said, on May 10th, 2009:

    Hi Anne,

Girl, they are a form of filler, LOL! I hope they have some value, but one reason I like them is because they give me a break from picture taking and writing longer reviews.

What are your favorite kinds of posts?

  9. 9. Karen said, on May 10th, 2009:

    Hi Luv J,

Happy Muver’s Day to you, too! Tabs says “MEOW!” which loosely translated means “What’s up?”

  10. 10. Jian said, on May 10th, 2009:

    Thanks Karen!

By the way, I hope Tabs got you a present! I completely freaked out when I read ‘mother’s day’ because I thought I’d forgotten.

I had got ready to grovel and apologise to my mum over the phone, but then I realised.

We’ve already had our mother’s day this year for the UK. =D Haha!

Karen – my favourite kinds of posts are your testimonial kinds, just like your new suncreen one! I still love your blog though.. hope I didn’t offend you in any way! :)

  14. 14. Kelly said, on May 10th, 2009:

Karen, I love these tutorial posts. It’s cool because I feel like you did all the leg-work for me, and google-searched every little detail and then posted only the best results. Works for me!! Loving the Dylash post. I am ordered some of the product online. I, too, have strawberry-blonde lashes (like the author of the post) and I wonder what I will look like in the morning when I wake up with shiny dark lashes! I will let you know if it works.

    Thanks bunches!

I just want to make a general comment.
the new Dolce & Gabanna eye quad in “Stromboli” reminds me of the cover girl triplet in “Dazzling Metallics”.
And of course the D&G is about $50 while CG is affordable.
Where is D&G going to be sold anyhow? SAKS?
